So I finally received my boots. I ordered them in January to wear to my wedding in March. They arrived in late November after having been ghosted by the company for about 6 months. When i was able to finally reach them I was given a pair of gift boots to reprieve the situation. Thankfully so, because I have been wearing the guest pair reguarly, however, the pair that I originally ordered arrived missing details and looking rushed. All in all, I feel as if this was a once great brand that has completely gone under and is now very messy and unfortunately, things just go overlooked and unaccounted

I highly recommend Modern Vice for any private label design that you would need. I have been working with Jordan for over a year now and he has been nothing but extremely helpful and knowledge able! Ordered my shoes in December of 2019... still have not received them. I understand issues with COVID, so I picked new leather because of availability issues, and that was January of 2021 after a few placating emails with new deadlines that were never met. Very little communication with constant requests for responses, and all I get back is another 4-6, or 12 weeks, and we're very sorry there is no one available to make the shoes....yet I see a lot of advertisement for new shoes made and that they are available to be the production house if you have a shoe line you need made. Update: I finally received the boots I ordered on April 9. A pair of boots that was supposed to arrive in 90 days ended up taking 440 days. I didn't get any shipping updates, and they just showed up at my door in a nondescript USPS box. I'm not changing my rating because I think that's an unreasonable amount of time to wait without receiving communications from them, and it was way too difficult to get someone to return my emails.

Ordered a pair of boots in January during their sale. These were quick ship according to the listing and I was planning on wearing them to an event. It has now been close to 5 months and that event is long past. Customer service replied to one of my emails April 26 saying that the order would be shipped soon however it has not arrived yet. They haven't responded to my emails since. I may have to resort to filing a fraud charge with my credit card like others have in order to get a refund.

My wife loved the design of the boots and she's in a wedding coming up so she ordered boots in January (5 months ahead of the wedding). They charged us immediately, but have not responded to her emails, calls, or Instagram messages since.

Every so often, a company comes along and completely shifts an entire industry. Modern Vice has does this in its handcrafted footwear. I am the granddaughter of an Italian cobbler, so my standards can be impossible to reach. Modern Vice not only met these standards but raised them-creating a new set of archetype criteria that only some may ever hope to achieve.

Modern Vice boots are good quality, there is no disputing that. I already have one pair and my mom has several I regularly borrow. When I saw there was a sale, I ordered the Original Bolt in pink suede with the intention of wearing them during my bachelorette party.
That was on January 1, 2021; the bachelorette party was April 1. At the time, the website said all orders would be received within 90 days. Such crap!! I ordered 2 pairs of boots supposedly they are hand made to order boots in which you need to give them feet measurements so literally custom made - there is no way to give them your measurements not even at time of order??
So when I received my Jetts they were to small, and I requested the studs to be left off.
The boots were totally cheap looking, the studs were on and crooked and the seams were damaged and the leather on each boot was different - high quality Italian leather NO WAY try Mexican tannery hard thick rough leather. Butter leather is NOT what these are.

I should have paid attention to the reviews. Modern Vice is a scam. Why do I say that, because I got suckered into their 60% off sale last December. I intentionally ordered a quick ship item so that I wouldn't have to wait months for my boots. As weeks turned into months, I had to proactively keep asking them what was happening with my order. I was consistently told 7-10 days, 2 more weeks, until we were near the end of March. The only reason I got a refund (after multiple requests) was that I finally told them that I was going to dispute the charge with my bank for fraud. This is not a way

I placed my order in January 2020, Order: #16047. I was informed in June that my order was 75% done, and then again in September that I would receive it before the end of the year. I waited and waited, but this has not happened. Meanwhile on their website and social media they are still selling the product, which is illegal if you are unable to fulfill orders. I love my boots! Yes - I had to wait for them, but it is worth it. I think every business now is going through some logistics issues due to the COVID, but best things come to those who wait:). I don’t regret that I did not take my money back and waited just another couple of weeks for my boots to arrive. They are a lifetime piece and I will wear them for years. The boot’s skin is soft so I wear them barefoot. They don’t rub my feet.

These boots are absolute show stoppers and incredibly well made. As a native Nashvillian I will undoubtedly be the envy of the town in these babies. The team at Modern Vice was communicative about my order and handled everything via text, which I loved. These guys are made to order, so they take longer to receive than your standard shoe. I placed an order back in November of 2019 for 3 pairs of boots. I have only received 2. I recently received an email stating it would take 8-12 more weeks for the final pair to ship. That would make it one year later for a pair of boots. The one pair i have received has fallen apart. I sent it back for a repair, but it came back basically in the same condition. I asked them what was the construction, glue slapped on a sole or hand sewn? No response. My bet is it's glue slapped on a heel with some leather. Total scam. Boots were ordered in March 2019, the company finally responded in July 2020 stating that they were delayed "due to COVID". Unfortunately, these were ordered a whole year before we'd even heard of COVID-19.
A few weeks later, after much pestering via social media, the admitted the boots "got lost". Took them another 2 weeks to issue a refund.
The only way I got them to respond was by replying to posts on IG and Twitter telling others to not buy their merchandise because they don't fulfill orders. I mean, just look at the Yelp reviews.

Since I discovered Modern Vice boots last December, this company has become my go-to brand for boots. I am lucky to live only an hour from NYC; I was able to tour the factory, meet the shoemakers, and even met Jordan, the owner, who ensured that I was personally fitted for the correct size. I have three pairs of super-stylish boots (and more on order) and get tons of compliments whenever I wear them! My feet are slightly wide so for the first time in my life, I have boots that fit properly without pinching my toes (or sizing up just to get the right width). I am truly a customer for life.

This is one of my favorite local shoe companies, their style is always fun and break the usual mode of basic footwear. They have a cheeky sense of style. At this point, I own about 6 pairs from them with a few more on the way!
Jordan is friendly and passionate about the company and it shows, Yaroc is super helpful and has the patience of a saint! Both of them took me and my sister on a tour of the manufacturing which happens right behind the showroom. Ricardo from the production team even measured is to get ensure the final shoes were a perfect fit.

I've LONGED for modern vice boots for so long and I'm proud to say I'm officially a part of this amazing club. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They fit like a dream and did not require a "breaking in" period. They were 100% comfortable from the start (and this is coming from someone with a wide foot) and they are true to size. I went with the Holiday Teal boot and every time I wear them, I'm stopped and complimented. They are fun, flashy and make you feel like a rock star! Honestly one of the best quality shoes & companies out there. I have multiple pairs of boots from them and love every single one. I've spent time at their headquarters in NYC, where they personally toured me through the process of making each shoe. They have made me multiple custom pairs that are incredible. They even made me custom white shoes for my wedding. I honestly can’t say enough good things!
