We went and both got our eyes examined, the Dr.asked us questions about our general health while doing the exam.
He explained everything that he saw in our eyes. I have had glasses all my life and am very satisfied . His office is in a Costco store,but tell them at the door about your appointment they will let you in( you don't need to be a member)

Having moved to Colorado, I needed to re-establish eye/health care in the area. I've long been purchasing contact lenses and glasses from Costco, so I figured I might as well get my eye examined there as well. Scheduling an appointment online was a breeze, checking in and seeing Dr. Olsen was an awesome experience!

I had an eye exam at Costco that was performed by Dr. Kristine Burns of Olson Family Eyecare. She was very friendly and did an excellent job; however, the prescription didn't list the PD measurement. When I returned to Costco, I was told by the person behind the glasses counter that Costco policy prevented him from giving me the PD measurement due to liability reasons. I emailed Olson Family Eyecare and was provided with the PD measurement the next morning!!!

We have been seeing Dr. Olson at Costco Optical for many years. He is always friendly, helpful, kind and thorough. We have been to other Opticians and Opthamologists over the years and the exam that we receive from Dr. Olson is over and above any other we have experienced. His office employs the most up to date equipment to make the exam easy and thorough...he also fully explains everything he does. We will definitely continue to see Dr. Olson for our annual eye exams!

Dr. Olson was impressive. He was patient and concise in explaining what and why he was doing it. He was very friendly and I would recommend him to my friends and family. He was able to show me how many of the other doctors were wrong with their diagnosis of possible Glaucoma. He has every machine possible but he was also willing to take the time to verify on his own manually. He's impressive.

Everything was just ok. Dr. Burns was nice enough, but if I really had any concerns about my eye health, I'm not sure that she would have really listened to me. When I first arrived I observed her rushing the previous patient out of the office and not taking time to listen to their questions.
The office itself is also not very welcoming. Things need a deep cleaning and maybe a fresh coat of paint? Feels very sterile. I got my contact prescription like I needed, but I won't be returning.

I thought I was going to get an appointment with Dr. Olsen the man getting all the good reviews, but unfortunately I got someone different who was not pleasant at all.
I'm 23 and have had glasses since I was ten and didn't think it was possibly to find a grumpy eye doctor. I was just looking to get some contacts again after not having them for a few years.
(My appoinment was around August of 2018)
I'm writing this review now because I am currently looking for a new eye doctor to go to today and wanted people to know that my experience here was shocking to say the least.

Being a very nervous nellie just talking about shots, surgeries, laser procedures, I knew I had to find a gentle person to take care of an eye issue that had developed in my eye. I found the perfect person in Dr. Olson. He is not only very professional, but he is extremely kind and was very considerate of my fears. His confidence and caring attitude had me completely at ease in no time. I now consider him my family's eye doctor and I recommend him highly to anyone searching for quality eye care.

I'm always super happy with the care I receive from Dr. Olson and his staff. The women at the front of the office are always so pleasant. And Dr. Olson takes time explaining things and answering my questions.

Today for my annual checkup he found me a new contact lens that works, woohoo!

What a fantastic experience!! Dr. Olson is such kind caring doctor. He really helped me out with painful uveitis. He was very thorough with his examination and his receptionist/office assistant was very friendly and fabulous. Highly recommend going to Olson family Eyecare for all of your eyecare needs!

Best eye care / glasses / contacts exam I have ever had. Dr Olson spent the time with me and went over everything, the various tests and why they were performed, and didn't feel rushed to move on to the next person at all. Seriously, after years of going elsewhere I've finally found the one place I will go to.

I was a new patient when I saw Dr. Olson - to his office and to eye care, evaluation and correction, in general. What a "breath of fresh air" this appointment was. I was already anxious about needing some sort of correction - either glasses or contacts - and Dr. Olson made me feel so much more relaxed and comfortable. He was very patient, took his time with the exam and explained everything he was doing and finding.
Ultimately, he took my wishes into consideration and we decided that contacts were my preference and he was so helpful and patient in explaining all the details of wearing

Excellent experience - Dr. Olson (Rikard) was very professional, friendly, and best of all, thorough. Not only did he give an extensive eye exam but he also explained what he was looking for and what the results were. He gave opinions on what my best contacts options are (he agreed that my current regime was the best for me).
I have no reservations about recommending Dr. Olson to anyone who is looking for an Optometrist.

Dr. Rikard Olson has been our family eye Dr for many years. He is absolutely the best! He is always very kind and personable. He always explains what he is doing and talks to you very respectfully on what he believes would be best for you as his patient. He is never pushy and I like knowing that he is trustworthy and has always treated me and my kids with much respect. His expertise leaves you as a patient very comfortable in knowing that he has your best interest at heart. Great Dr, great guy!
