I've seen Brett Richie periodically for about a year now, and I am very satisfied with the help I have received.

Agreed that Brett Richie is either undertrained irresponsible, or a toxic mix of both. Our first interaction occurred after an extremely trying year which included the birth of my first child, the death of my mother and 2 cross country moves. It was also a time where I had been able to maintain almost a year of continued sobriety. I was under a tremendous amount of stress, grief and sadness. When I told him in our second counseling that I wanted to drink and was adamant that I was going to do so; his response was ok, go on, do it. In a nutshell, PISS OR GET OFF THE POT. Don’t go see Brett Richie. I told him in our first appointment. I sometimes wish I could stay in bed on my anxiety drugs. On my second appointment he TOLD me I didn’t complete my homework by showing for the appointment. I had just had a panic attack and reached by leaving and telling him I might go kill myself and he let me walk out the door. This man does not need to see patients.
