I've recently stopped going to this clinic (Dr. Dietzfield). I was a patient here (St. Bernard location) for 2 years and seldom was pain free I received injections in my knee, back, and hip. The knee injections only lasted at most, 4 weeks. The back ones worked once out of 4. The hip never worked. One day 6 months ago, I read a sign in their waiting room that read (due to COVID 19), "we can manage your pain remotely " I was really upset and asked if they can explain how they manage pain remotely when they don't manage mine face-to-face. I have had amazing experiences with Dr. Diesfeld and the NP. However I recently - today had a horrid experience with the front desk. This is completely unethical and unprofessional. I called as their patient, in an urgent situation, my back is out, I cannot stand up. I was told I need an appt because I have not been in since March, so since Covid. I only need a small prescription for my muscle relaxer so I can function and asked to speak to the MD or NP. The front desk person was rude, and hung up on me when I began to cry and said I can't effing walk, I need to speak to an MD and see if I can

I'm still trying to understand what happened. I called to make an appointment and the words INTERESTING and HMMMMMMM were used as I gave my insurance info (blue cross by the way). I was told their closed but their not. I was also not able to make an appointment but was asked for my social security number. I picked this place because it appeared to be a HOSPITAL but more that I look at it online after the strange phone interview they gave me. Now I'm wondering if its even a legitimate. I'm 55 years old way too old to play games. Be Leary or just do what I did set up an appointment

AVOID AT ALL COST! I was in this office once, received an epidural and haven't been able to reach the doctor or any medical staff since. I had complications and have left numerous messages for 3 weeks straight. The staff is incredible rude! Their constant remark is "it's not my job".

On top of this every appointment I've made after my procedure have been canceled however I'm getting notifications from his office that they took place. I now have to confirm with my insurance that these appointments never took place.

Not sure how a doctor could allow his staff treat

After searching long and far for the proper pain management providers in my areas, I was referred to this clinic, and I must say it was the best decision I’ve ever made. The services provided by Brandy Hanson was not only thorough but also done with such kindness and empathy that it made me want to make her my primary care provider, I’ll tell any and everyone that I know not only about the conscience of the clinic but also about the unmatched service I received !!!!!!!!

This place is alarmingly cold and detached from any semblance of whole patient care. from the moment i walked in the door i noticed a very adversarial relationship towards patients. it is sad because i was hoping for something near me that might provide the compassionate and competent care i require (and deserve).

I had the pleasure of being seen by NP Brandy Hanson I’ve experienced knee pain for the past few months & nothing seemed to help nor did I know why
Her passion for her profession was displayed all throughout my visit, she was extremely knowledgeable about my medical issue & served me with high standards of dignity, empathy, & compassion,I’m glad I chose this facility for my medical needs extremely pleased

Dr.Diesfield is amazing! He has great beside manners and remembers you and your case.
Brandy Hanson is an absolutely incredible nurse practitioner. The best I've ever seen and with two neck surgeries- almost three and two years of pain management I have NEVER had someone who listens, actually cares and thinks outside the box. Just when I thought nothing worked and lost hope, she found something that did!!
The three star is based on his whole practice. They say they return calls within 24 hours.. really?! Cuz I've called and left a message everyday for over 2 weeks!! He needs new staff that actually

I went to the south side location and after one visit I didn't have to beg anyone for help. They listened to me and I came home with a bag full of goodies. I’m also waiting for a few more things to take place but that has nothing to do with their service. Thank you for making me smile again.

Dr. Diesfeld treated me for follow up on Lys-Frank injury in my left foot. He took me off norco which was creating many problems for me and put me on specialized pain cream on my foot. I took the edge of the pain. I highly recommend the Thorek Practice.

The people are nice but the worst nurse practitioner ever. I went there with my mom for her knee pain, the NP gave her an injection it was fine. Next appointment she gave her another injection, my mom couldn’t stand on her leg after that she was in pain we called this NP four times and she DID NOT ANSWER our called, I told the staff that my mom so in pain they told her but SHE DID NOT care. I took my mom to the ER after that injection and since then my mom has so much pain. I HAVE NEVER SEEN someone like her. The worst experience.

Dr. Diesfeld has taken care of me for recurring back pain and after a skateboarding accident. The wait was short and the service was optimal. XRay the first day...They understood my desire to find out more about my injury and my pain is almost completely gone after following their instructions. Thank you Dr. Diesfeld
