Is your child having difficulty coping with their feelings? Maybe he holds his feelings in until he gets sick, or maybe he explodes and can't calm down. Maybe she says things, like " I wish I were dead, " or " I hate you." As a parent, these statements and behaviors are alarming and may be a sign that your child needs professional help.

Perhaps your child is having behavior problems at school or home. Maybe the school has called you with concerns. Being a teen these days can be hard! As children move into the teen years they begin to put more emphasis on relationships with their peers in order to begin determining who they are as individuals. Teens struggle with their identify and how they fit in. These days, this process is more demanding and complex than ever.
Being a women these days is tough! So many high expectations, multiple roles and pressure to balance and do everything perfectly! I worked with Gwen for 3 years at Rockdale School. I learned very quickly that she is the most dedicated and compassionate social worker I have ever worked with. She goes above and beyond in her work to ensure all students receive the services they need.

I appreciate what a good listener and how resourceful with literature and looking definitions and symptoms up in books Gwen was, but I would not recommend her to anyone needing a higher level of care than just someone listening. I believe Gwen does not have the resources to help someone experience actual mental illness versus humans who may be struggling at certain points in life but are not truly mentally ill. I had an extremely dangerous situation placed into my lap by cause of my partner reaching out to her for me and she made the call for a wellness check at my home, while she was already aware
