Been with DR maisonette for numerous years was refer to him by my coworker. Dr maisonette is a very honest dentist and never overcharge for his service. Usually insurance covers complete service and no out of pocket copay.i travel from norwalk ct to new haven for his services.and believe me it's worth the drive.

I had pre existing damage to a molar - a crown that fell off and took most of the tooth with it. This dentist was able to extract the remaining tooth at and above my gum line without requiring me to have sedated surgery. He explained every step of the process along the way. His office staff was lovely, especially his receptionist!! I arrived late due to obscene amounts of traffic and construction in downtown New Haven but the office still allowed me to keep my appointment and made me feel comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this dentist and his staff and I will be back.

I Went for Juan C. Maysonet (Amity Family Dental) for a general consultation plus a filling(one surface, very very small one). The dr wanted the 45 of the consultation in advance.
I paid, and went inside.
The dr did not perform any consultation-only said "let us do the filling and talk about your concerns regrading the rest of the teeth afterwards".
He did the filling. Very painful-much more than it should be, and usually is (and I have been threw many fillings..).
Suddenly, he stopped. I thought he is just making a break. Rather-he said "we finished". I told him, politely-I

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The front desk was so terrible that I didn't even schedule an appointment. I was planning on coming in but since the woman at the front desk was so rude and hung up on me I never got to making one. Glad I dodged that bullet. Do not come here if you want a nice and welcoming dentist office. Since I never got to the dentist themselves I do not know if they are worth visiting, but I'll never know since the front desk ruined the experience for me. The woman sounded like an old crotchety hag that spends all day/night with her many cats. AVOID THIS

Make an appointment with Amity Family Dental after I found out the Columbia Dental, and Dr Dental told me that my brother in law needed to do a root canal. Dr Dental doesn't do them so I did call Columbia Dental and they told me he had two root canals to be done. So I got tried of riding around to find a dental that can do the root canal with out traveling to Manchester or Hartford,I look on line and find Amity Family Dental after I filled out an application for care credit and they came up. I made the appointment for the following Wednesday so i can take him because of his pain and he was in and

I am really surprised to be the first to review Amity Family Dental. Dr. Juan Maysonet is an honest, excellent professional. They are clear, upfront, polite, and I've never had to wait. I came here after being told that I needed thousands of dollars in new fillings by a con-artist, and Amity Family Dental were honest and said I didn't need any of that! (They didn't try to get anything extra out of me, though I probably would have believed it). Highly recommend this family, friendly place!
