Our restaurant was established back in January of 1991. Since then it has been a staple of the St. Charles community. We are one of the few restaurants that serve a full menu 24 hours a day. Whether you crave our pancakes at dinner time or our famous house salad in the middle of the night, we are here to serve you.
A buttermilk biscuit, our delicious country gravy, along with (2) farm-fresh eggs and your choice of (2) sausage links* or (2) bacon strips. Our famous original country fried steak topped with sausage gravy along with (2) farm-fresh eggs. Served with toast and hash browns or (3) Buttermilk Pancakes.

So this is a typical American diner through and through. They have half the menu converting your breakfast items, the other half covering your lunch and dinner items. The menu is rather large, which can be a good and bad thing.
The wait was about 30-45 minutes, but this place was packed when we arrived. The server was friendly and helpful. We ordered lots of things to try and get a taste for it all as it was our first time.
We ordered the appetizer sampler, the fried green beans, fried pickles, fried okra, and corn nuggets were all tasty. I would avoid the fried mushrooms, the outside was crispy

I had not been to Gingham’s since they moved. When I walked in, I wasn’t expecting much. Boy was I surprised. They have such a big restaurant and they renovated the interior so nicely! Complete with wood accent walls, farmhouse decor, and barn doors. The staff is so attentive and have great attitudes. The food was really good and the portion sizes were large. I’d recommend checking them out!

Gingham's never disappoints. We had a party of 7 and were seated within 5 minutes at 6:40 pm. The restaurant was busy, but we didn't wait to be greeted, seated or waited on. Our server was fantastic..He had our drinks out quickly and took our orders soon after. We ordered a combination of breakfast meals, burgers and dinner entrees. That's sometimes difficult to get out at the same time and temperature. Everyone had fresh, hot and delicious food in about 20 minutes. Every single order was correct, even the modifications. Forgot to take a picture of my meal. Appetizers were delicious. Meal was adequate. Love their rewards program option. It allows you 20% off your first purchase and nice incentives for using the program. Only gave it 4 stars because the food was bland. Gravy was flavorful but everything else was lackluster, I know this is primarily because they have a larger older clientele but there are ways to still give flavor without overdoing it.

I have been to this restaurant probably 100 times in the past 10 months. They have consistently given very good service as well as good food to me and many groups I’ve gone with over the months. Favorite dish, hands-down, is the Ranchero omelette. They are very good about seating quickly, even when there’s a crowd, they are very well staffed so you never feel like you can’t get service. The food is comforting and good, a very safe, original and comfortable place to eat if you’re not feeling ambitious. In other words, it’s always satisfying. Will continue to come here as long as I live

Very clean, open, and accommodating. Hostess and waiter (Calvin) were very friendly. The menu wasn’t overwhelming like some restaurants. However, there is plenty to choose from. I loved all of their Eggs Benedict variations. I ordered the Irish Benedict. It came with corned beef hash and hash browns. Delicious.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I have been 4 times and love it. Quiet friendly atmosphere. Servers have been amazing at different times of day and night. Clean and smells good. I had amazing food and generous portions. Had the corn muffins and they are wonderful being moist and warm. I also like the fact that it has a good report with the community police. Keep up the outstanding work
