The Master's Touch Automotive is family operated. Currently ran by Thomas and Nina Chung, while the majority of the family still remains active within the business. Scheduled an appointment for service in advance for 100K maintenance and other minor issues. Master’s Touch performed all required maintenance checks and research a strange issue where the system was reporting the car needed a quart of oil added multiple times since the last oil change. They identified a Volvo Service bulletin on this issue requiring changing the oil viscosity to use from 0W30 to 0W20, replacing the Oil trap assembly and a software update. In addition to that good find, He identified a broken Engine Mount. I was able to get the necessary services done the same day as promised

Volvo was diagnosed with issues that were preexisting from previous attempts to get vehicle serviced. All issues were described to me and fixed. Older vehicle-- so not running like new, but pretty darn close--REALLY good. Very happy with results of service! Fair, competitive rates. Volvos are not cheap to fix so go where you get what you pay for--The Master's Touch!

Ok... if any of you are looking at the above, yes, Thomas and his son in law worked on all of the above in order to bring an '85 Volvo BRICK back from the dead. It was a complete overhaul. The wagon, found at auction and transferred to Thomas was a sound choice for a body but a virtual wreck mechanically. More or less. That Thomas agreed to put the car back on the road while addressing all of the above and doing that while keeping all of his other customer's vehicles serviced or repaired speaks to a level of commitment most mechanics just don't have.

These folks got my vehicle in and out of the shop in a single day. It was just a bused radiator hose, but it makes no difference to me, as I do not work on my Volvo C30 T5 turbo. I am a shade-tree mechanic and I do 95% of all the work on my 20 year old Sonoma because I don't need a shop to do it.. I was super happy with the turnaround time, cost , and quality of their work.

There is honestly no other honest or reliable mechanic in Albuquerque other than The Masters Touch. They will tell you exactly what is wrong with your vehicle. It is a family run business and they are true to their word. I've been loyal to them for over 3 years and don't see myself going anywhere else.

I took my vehicle to pep boys to get a new clutch pep boys charge me $1,787.00 and less than a year and a half my clutch was leaking oil. I took my vehicle back to pep boys told me my warranty was up and they can't do anything to fix it... so I took my vehicle to THE Master touch automotive they fix the problem with half the price...... $$$$ and they're the best in Albuquerque with price customer satisfaction great quality work and very friendly and the best part is family-owned business.....!!
P.s never take your vehicle to pep boys they will overcharge you and your vehicle would be broken again

Outstanding! Our xc90 broke down 150 miles south in Truth or Consequences. Looked up best Volvo Mechanics in Albuquerque and they were at the top of the list - for good reason! They stayed a little late until we arrived with the tow truck, immediately understood the repairs needed, began ordering parts and had us back on the road by noon the next day. Experienced, honest, fair, and thoughtful. Highly recommend.

I'm a little late posting this but here I go. First of all I met Thomas (owner) through some of the guys @ Dukecitybrickclub. I love our (now) 2 Volvo's. A couple of years ago I had issues with my volvo 02 v70 and had it towed to Masters Touch. $80 later and a few hours I was back on the road, thanks to the expertise and fairness of Master mechanic Thomas. Needing another car, husband's car was a money pit, I was recommended to see Thomas for a fair priced used car. I actually ended up purchasing his car he had been driving. He serviced it and made sure it was a ok! Only

Very very good experience!! It was already in August that I had my V70 Volvo 1998 first checked at another garage and they told me that my alternator had to be replaced and due to a short the alarm then had to be reset by a Volvo dealer. They presented me with a jaw-dropping estimate of $1300 !!! Well, I was soooooo glad that I decided to get a second opinion at The Master Touch and they did a great job.

Very satisfied with my experiences. Honest people and good prices. I first went to get my 1999 4Runner checked out due to it not starting. Turned out to be the starter but then about a year later it started acting up again. I took it back in the morning and by the end of the day it was ready to rock and roll, fully covered under warranty, even the labor. I'll never go anywhere else if I can't fix it myself.

We've been here before a few years ago and it was such a good experience that when we had trouble this time around we knew who to call. He continues to be efficient, honest and reliable. We had gone to our dealership who wasn't ready to help us without charging us an arm and a leg. When I had come in he was more then willing to help us.

Randy and his group are awesome. I had a situation with my torque convertor and so I blindly took it to dealer after doing research on Jeep forums and various web pages. The dealer didn't give many options or explanation of the $3100-$4600 estimate. I called Randy and he explained a couple of economical options. He did the work and the Jeep is great again for less than 50% of the dealer option.

Couldn't be happier with my repairs!!!! I'm from out of town and my truck started overheating around 2 pm on a Friday. I thought I might be without wheels till beginning of the following week.
Thomas diagnosed the problem Friday afternoon and had a radiator installed by Saturday evening on "technically his day off" catching up on that weeks work. Price was reasonable. Very Pleased.

I held out on writing a review here for quite some time because I wanted to be sure that the issue these folks had addressed wouldn't return. Months later, I am confident it will not.
I had to come in following a failed emissions test and I was bracing for some severe sticker shock as is custom at most mechanic places. The wife from this husband-and-wife operation was friendly and polite and explained the policy of charging $50 for an assessment that eventually gets rolled into the final cost if the customer chooses to have them fix their vehicle. Fair enough.
