Dental cone beam computed tomography (CT) is a special type of x-ray equipment used when regular dental or facial x-rays are not sufficient. We use this technology to produce three-dimensional (3-D) images of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways and bone in a single scan. Cleanings and exams can both help to keep your smile healthy and bright. Cleanings are performed by a licensed dental hygienist who works to clear away stains and tartar from the teeth, thus preventing gum disease and tooth decay. Exams are performed by our doctor, who works to look for active problems that need to be addressed before they're able to get worse.
A dental filling is a type of restoration that is used to fill in areas of decay within one or more teeth. When you have a cavity (tooth decay), the area needs to be cleared of any apparent decay and a tooth-colored filling put into the small hole that was created. Fillings are made to look like your natural tooth, and we can replace older amalgam (metal) fillings as needed.
Dental x-rays are important diagnostic tools that we use to get a complete view of your oral health. The teeth and gums in your mouth are only the top of the iceberg. Many times, issues can occur below the surface and can only be seen on a dental x-ray. X-rays are taken at most of your dental appointments to allow us to monitor for any changes.

I was very nervous to go into my much needed dental appointment. The whole team from the receptionist, ,hygienist , and the Doctor were friendly and efficient. They made me feel very welcomed and clearly understood my plan of action lol . The cost was very reasonable and I feel they did everything they could to keep my portion of the cost down. Thank you!!!

Needed a Dentist to take a look at some pain and soreness but did not like the thought of going to any dentist due to past experiences. Emailed Pena Adobe Dental and got a response the next day. Quick appointment set up within 2 days. In and out within 45mins. Amazing staff!! Will definitely be returning.

This review is a bit overdue as things got a bit crazy and busy during this holiday season! Anyway, my fiancé and I both had appointments on 11/15 at 11am! This was our first time coming to this dental office and I was a bit nervous as I haven't had the best experiences at dental offices in the past. I've read the reviews ahead of time and had a feeling this was the wisest choice out of all the dental offices in Solano County!

Previously, I had some bad experiences with dentists until Pena Adobe dental care. My first impression with the clinic in 2018 was that the staffs were very friendly and helpful, especially Aubri at the front desk. The cleaning I had received that day were very thorough. So I came back to the clinic this year when I moved back to the area from Montana. This time, I had it some work done for my teeth and a night-guard for my TMJ. Went to Yelp looking for a new dentist in the area. I've had and need a list of work done. I know (confirmed by 2 other dentists) that I have a cavity on my front tooth. When we were reviewing my concerns I mentioned said cavity. I was told that I was wrong and it was a filling of the wrong color. My teeth have never been the rust...

Any clinic, whether it’s dental or medical, can have a great dentist or physician, but if their front office or staff is not great then the overall experience is affected. Peña Adobe Dental has both—great dentist and great staff. It is hard to get in, but worth the wait. The clinic itself is modern and clean…great vibes!

As a first time customer they were able to squeeze me in the same day., which is rare. I told them I had a pretty bad tooth ache, and they got me in immediately! After discovering I needed a procedure ASAP, they got me in for the procedure a few days later! By far the best experience I’ve ever had with Medical staff or Dental staff! First time in my life I am looking forward to my next appt!

Based on the reviews on Yelp, I thought I would give this place a try since I am new in the area and wanted to change dental providers. I went on their website and actually completed the patient forms and sent it back. To follow up with this dental provider I sent an email to penaadobedental@gmail.com and I haven't received a response back. I then contacted the office the second time and a female staff name Aubri answered the call. I must say this particular staff lacks in customer service skills and was pretty rude on the call. When going to Pena Adobe Dental, I truly feel like I’m visiting family!! I had been away for far too long with Covid, after showing up regularly for cleanings, etc. It was wonderful to come back today and be welcomed by name by my dental “family!” The staff is awesome - and Dr. Tahrek is a truly lovely human being!!! I've always loved going to the dentist, and I gotta say that Dr. Takher and his team are the best of the best! Been with Peña Adobe Dental Care for roughly five years now, and every visit is pleasant and enjoyable, the staff and doc himself are always super friendly and courteous, the office itself is clean and up-to-date, and the office atmosphere just seems overall easy-going and fun yet professional. I normally only get to pop in twice a year for my dental cleaning visits, but recently I needed an issue with a tooth taken care of, and they were able to get me in for appointments quick

Aubri is amazing, kind and up front about what to expect. Was greeted warmly and there was an effort to get to know me before being seen by the dental hygienist. Aileen cleaned me up and was just as kind.
Aubri also took the time to help me get a second appointment before the end of the year since my original office wouldn't even call me back to discuss when they would open again for regular visits. Funny how one says they can't and another office had no issues seeing me.
