In 2002 with a shift in management, Michael Ramirez was given an opportunity by Mr. Davis, the company's president, to run the company. Ramirez, along with his team decided to push forward with innovative ideas and designs, from the rigging of boats to the creation of products. In 2007 Michael Ramirez purchased Prime Marine from Mr. Davis.

Services
A sterndrive or outdrive is a form of marine propulsion which combines inboard power with an outboard drive. The engine sits just forward of the transom while the drive unit (outdrive or drive leg) lies outside the hull. The drive unit (outdrive) carries power from the inboard engine, typically mounted above the waterline, outboard through the transom and downward to the propeller below the waterline.
A V-drive boat that is powered by a rear-mounted engine, propeller, two drive shafts, and a gearbox. In a "V-drive" boat, the engine faces aft with a transmission connected to the rear of the engine. The first drive shaft connects the rear of the transmission to a gearbox mounted in the center of the boat.
A jet boat is propelled by a jet of water ejected from the rear of the boat. Unlike a motorboat that uses an external propeller in the water below or behind the boat, a jet boat, pulls water from under the boat through an intake into a pump-jet inboard, before expelling it through a nozzle located outside of the transom.
An outboard motor is a propulsion system for boats, consisting of a self-contained unit that includes engine, gearbox, and propeller or jet drive, designed to be affixed to the outside of the transom. They are the most common motorized method of propelling small watercraft. As well as providing propulsion, outboards provide steering control, as they are designed to pivot over their mountings and thus control the direction of thrust.

I have had a really great experience with MIKE (owner) and the team at Prime Marine. my boat was 2 seasons past due for a full service. Mike was awesome at communicating. He kept me up to date on the process. His team found trim leaks and wanted my approval to add this repair. He invited me to come over to show me. At that point I asked him to quote a few other things.... He never once charged me for something that wasn't fully approved. I really feel he did a great job and did exactly what was agreed upon. He is not cheap.... But he shouldn't be. He has a shop and employees and tons

Should be ZERO stars. Ripped me off of $170 fee after cancelling same day because was wrong equipment. Acted like it was too late and it was shipped. LIARS. Did just to keep the fee. Doesn't return emails asking to give back my hard earned money. Should be truly embarrassed of themselves. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

Awesome shop and really took care of my needs. Came here from all the positive reviews on Google. I'm restoring a boat that has been sitting for 9 years. Had the outdrive serviced by them and they did an incredible job! They were very upfront and honest. They were not trying to up sale anything to you. Very knowledgeable and experienced; took the time to explain all the questions I had; you're getting your money's worth and then some! Definitely coming back here again but for the full-service this time!

Out of respect for Johnny (the scheduler) who is a stand up guy I'm being clear that this message is for the owner of Prime Marine and people who would consider this shop. I will never go back to prime marine. Johnny had actually requested I use prime marine and handed me his business cards in the church parking lot that we attend together. Worst news you could possibly get, engine is bad on what you thought was a good buy!
Johnny was a great guy, spent 20 mins on the phone the first time I called and walked me through the scenarios, explained exactly what he needed time wise in order to make factual statements of what was wrong. Ultimately the engine was dead and it's a total loss.
When I picked up the boat I could see he was as sad as I was and really didn't like the outcome. He truly is the definition of what customer service and honesty is! I only wish I knew about this gem when I bought the boat!!

After having my only trusted boat shop close and mechanic retire I've struggled to find someone that wasn't lazy, greedy, and dishonest. Finally, I found Prime Marine and Johnny. He's an extremely friendly and professional gentleman. They did a thorough job on my boat in a very timely manner. I brought my boat here to Prime Marine for what I was hoping to be a somewhat easy repair, Johnny did the repair (very quickly) but advised me there was other issues going on. (My boat has been sitting for the last 1-1/2 yrs) Johnny was always up front with prices, thoughts on what was going on, i never felt pressured to have the work done there. I felt very comfortable having them do the work. I was constantly being updated on the status of the repairs and cost.(just wish I would have found them sooner) Johnny runs a very honest shop, I will be a forever happy customer!

Johnny was extremely helpful and friendly and very fair in price. Quality work and and very fast return. First time customer and felt very comfortable, and didn't pressure us into doing more repairs then the pocket could handle. ****Excellent honest service, clean shop!!!****We brought our boat here and not only did Jonny take it last min (we had a trip planned) he had it done within a day.
We were told by numerous shops in the area that everyone was overbooked being new to the area we didn't know what to do. Luckily we received an excellent recommendation, Prime Marine. We went to drop the boat off and their warehouse was also full. Jonny did us a solid by taking us in and getting everything done. He was honest and being that we were new to area, recommended some great family locations to visit on our adventure

This place is awesome! I have a Sanger and I needed a tune up. Usually when I take my boat to get serviced it's 1-2 weeks before it can get it there and 1-2 weeks to get the work done. Not the case here. We called for a appointment and got the boat in the next few days. We then wanted a tune up service and few extra things needed and they got it all done in a day! Impressive! Johnny was informative and great with customer service. The shop mechanics were friendly and the shop was clean. We will defiantly be going back for all our boat needs.

Just bought a new to me boat 23' genesis took it here to prime ti have it serviced. They were able to get me in went through the whole boat and trailer. They found a few issues with the boat and informed me of them and were able to get the boat running the way it should by the weekend so I could take it out for the first time. I've been out twice now and the boat runs excellent. Highly recommend prime for all your boat needs from service to custom work. I will have them service my boat every year great group of guys
