Psychotherapy is sought to relieve sadness and depression, overwhelming stress or to problem solve a challenging situation. In psychotherapy, clients work on life transitions and adjustments or to better manage personality differences in families, in marriage, in life at school or at work.

Dr. Kay Abrams is excellent. I worked with her while I was in high school and so I have known her for years. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a psychologist who is professional, honest, patient and empathetic. Not only is she well respected among her colleagues, she really works to understand and help her clients because she truly cares!!

If I could choose one word to describe, Abrams and Associates it would be ........wonderful!
Throughout my experiences with this practice, Abrams and Associates is welcoming, warm, personable and suitable for anyone of all ages. One thing that I have particularly noticed is that Dr. Kay has a particular affinity for working youths. From more serious issues to the occasional session, Dr. Kay is an expert in helping to navigate those awkward teenage years. While some teens tend to stray away from therapy, this doesn't seem to be the case at Dr.Kay's practice. Dr. Kay's insight is always valid and

Dr. Kay Abrams have behaved unprofessionally by involving a minor (her patient) in to a conflict that should have been resolved between adults. The communication process has been bi-polar, as if we are speaking with two completely different personalities at different points in time. Certain times she would be professional and other times she would have a temper tantrum. She also tried to lobby the patient (minor) against the family.
After we discontinued our service, her staff has mistakenly charged for a session the patient did not attend and conveniently "forget" to refund it. Not recommended
