Dr. Blalock and her staff love seeing children. In fact, Dr. Blalock got her start in dentistry by working in a pediatric dental office. We can begin seeing your child for checkups from the moment his or her first tooth comes in. Our staff pays close attention to the special needs of your child, and work to make the visit a fun and comfortable experience.
As a courtesy to our patients with insurance, we will file your dental claims for services rendered. You are responsible for paying any deductible and co-payment at the time of service. Our office staff makes every effort to be as accurate as possible when collecting these amounts; however, your insurance plan may not cover as much as we estimate.
At our Cardinal Dental, we use only certified dental equipment and materials according to international standards. Our highly qualified medical team performs a variety of dental procedures, varying from extractions with socket preservation and bone grafting to sinus lift, gingival grafting and implant retained dentures.

The staff was pleasant and professional from the start! I was recommended to Cardinal Dentist and they did not disappoint. They managed to squeeze an appointment in for me and it was really appreciated. Very welcoming office...very clean and comfortable. Thank you Ladies for just being so warm and so nice!

We love this practice! Our family has been using this office for aver two years now, and we always have a positive experience. Dr. Blaylock is kind, knowledgeable, and listens to the patient’s desires. The word that best sums up this entire office is respect. They have gone above and beyond for our family whether it’s routine care or an emergency visit. I truly believe that they care, and it shines through in all they do.

Edit: I took my recently turned two year old to the dentist for the first time today. Like I said in my previous review, I've had childhood trauma from my old dentist so I was extremely anxious for her. She was hesitant in the beginning but everyone was able to get her super comfortable by showing her all the cool tools they use. Hygienist Amanda and Dr. Blalock were so gentle with her and didn't push her to do anything she didn't want to do. I am so grateful. She had such an amazing time, I couldn't be more proud of my baby girl.

I had a negative, unprofessional interaction with Dr. Blalock. I complained about the lack of response to three voicemails over the course of a couple of weeks, no reply to an email to her and no return call after I called the emergency service due to severe tooth pain. No one called me back-not even when the office opened on Monday. Eventually the tooth stopped hurting and I waited for a regular check up to discuss it.

The first time I went for a cleaning, I waited an hour before telling them I had to leave and reschedule. The next time I went back, they told me they had run my insurance and I would be responsible for paying for the fluoride treatment they recommended. I thought that was reasonable and paid the $25 for the treatment. I had a cavity that needed to be filled, so I went back to have the filling. They told me that I would have to pay my portion upfront. I then received a bill for $200, most of which was for the cleaning that should have been covered by insurance. Don't go there if you are in pain. Pushes me off to an oral surgeon when 3 months ago she said she could do the work. With no care for the pain I was in she refused to give me adequate pain medicine and shoved me off with a referral in my hand and no explanation. Was an existing customer and probably only seen her twice the entire time my daughter and I have been there. Very in personable.

I cracked the root of my tooth on a Saturday so by the time I got to Dr. Blalock's office on Monday I was in considerable pain and swelling had begun. after a quick examination and x-ray they confirmed that I had indeed cracked the root and would require a surgical tooth extraction and bone graft to lay the foundation for a prosthetic later. since the infection was so bad I needed to be on antibiotics for a few days and allow the infection to go away before the procedure could be done.

Cardinal dental in st peters mo is a professional, hi-tech, well equiped dental facility with a total staff that is outstanding, highly skilled and really, really cares about people .
i was a total stranger to cardinal dental and to everyone that works there until august 2016. that is when i had my first of three visits.
in the past 70 + years before cardinal dental i have been to 11 different dentists in four different states, three different countries as well as four military bases !
my first visit dr. cynthia blalock (owner) gave me an exam and made the recommendations for treatment i needed
i was a total stranger to cardinal dental and to everyone that works there until august 2016. that is when i had my first of three visits.

Cardinal Dental bought out the previous Dr's office, this was approx 2 years ago. I stayed with Cardinal Dental and was told they would still be accepting my insurance and everything would be the same as usual. Well, they were at first. The first visit after the new Dr and it was all new employees except 1 person, the receptionist I believe, was the only person still working there. Then this past December I went to get my teeth cleaned and the dental hygienist started asking me questions and looking at my mouth before starting to clean my teeth. My husband and I starting going to Dr. Blalock last year. I've been to their office four times, I think. *Every single person* in this office is the friendly, warm, inviting, knowledgeable, and caring more than any medical physician or dental office I've ever been. I had my bridge removed - and replaced - within 3.5 hours. I had it put in in 1975. Replaced in1995, and replaced again this past Monday, 5/9.
They work with the intention to make your experience as comfortable and as painless as possible. Usually my jaw out of alignment for months because I was required to keep my mouth
