Someone you love has died. You are now faced with the difficult, but important, need to mourn. Mourning is the open expression of your thoughts and feelings regarding the death and the person who died. It is an essential part of healing. The following articles provide many practical suggestions to help you move toward healing in your unique grief journey.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.

I would highly HIGHLY recommend Shaw and Sons!
I went through one of the most tragic and heartbreaking events losing my husband to cancer and my mother-in-law all in the same week. Shaw and Sons provided me a caring, loving and safe environment for me while maintaining the utmost respect and dignity throughout this journey. Where I had just lost almost my entire family, they made me feel like I was family and not just a customer! Especially when I needed it most.
Thank you to everyone who works at Shaw and Sons from Jamin to Trevor to the entire Shaw and Sons family - you hold a special place in

During the process of my dad's passing I had the most difficult time trying to figure out what needed to be done, Shaw and Sons made it easy for me to get through this tough situation, even in the middle of a pandemic they handled everything beautifully. Specifically Sonia, Donna and Dan I will forever be grateful for, they put together an exquisite funeral for my father. I highly recommend them. Thank You All.

I would not recommend this business at this time, when my father-in-law passed away it felt like we were doing most of the leg work and I don't really feel like they helped us out a lot during this time. when a loved one dies the last thing you want to deal with is details and that's all I ended up doing was dealing with the details I had to initiate a lot of contact I had to initiate a lot of next steps and I feel like a lot of that should have been taken care of.

My family and I were having a difficult time planning my brothers services . I have never experienced such genuine care and compassion as we did from the owner of Shaw and Sons , Jamin Mohler. He took us under his wing and is personally assisting us with planning the service .
The high regard for family and respect for the departed is so evident of this family owned business.
I just do not have enough words to express how grateful we are for you Jamin . God bless you and your family

My mother passed away recently; totally unexpected and sudden. I had heard of Shaw & Son's having grown up in the area so it was our obvious choice. We scheduled an appointment for the following day to start making arrangements. We met with George. My first was impression was quite honestly not a good one. Nobody there shook any of our hands or offered any sort of condolences. He took us into what resembled a conference room and just got straight to it..starting asking questions about Mom; birthplace, etc and then showed us price sheets. We had no idea what we were doing. It would have been nice
