Kaua'i, Hawaii's fourth largest island, is the oldest and northernmost island in the Hawaiian chain and is draped in emerald valleys, sharp mountain spires and jagged cliffs, aged by time and the elements. Centuries of growth have formed tropical rainforests, forking rivers and cascading waterfalls.
We are located 8 miles north of Lihue International Airport (LIH), at the north end of Kapa'a town. Travel north on Kuhio highway and into north Kapa'a. You will pass the ABC store, the Kountry Kitchen and the Kapa'a Public Library. After you cross a small stream, you will see the Hotel located on the right-hand side.

We were disappointed about our last night in Hawaii. Due to last minute changes we needed a room for one last night in Kauai and we decided for Coral Reef because of the ratings. For 200+ $ a night this was just extremely disappointing. As you can see on the pictures the room is really run down: dirty and smelly carpet, dirty walls, fridge, balcony and balconies chairs, cockroaches on the floor. Due to stains on the bedsheets we even think that these weren’t fresh for us. The room definitely wasn‘t cleaned before we arrived.
If you can, avoid this place and spend less for much better and cleaner

Five stars all the way. This place is absolutely amazing, the rooms are well furnished and taken care with all the normal things towels, toiletries, the bed was extremely comfortable with some of the most comfortable pillows I've ever used. That is not even the best part of your stay here, the family who operates it was the true joy of our stay. Cyndel checked us in and she was so helpful and just amazing to be around. Then I got to meet Peggy Sue, she is truly the kindest and friendly person. We both felt welcomed when we checked in, on our way to our room we both were talking about how they both

Great location. Got an oceanfront room so view from balcony was beautiful. It was quiet and beds were comfortable. Free beach towels when you ask for them. I took one star off because of the room needing a bit of a deep cleaning , the remotes for tv and a/c didn’t work, and a few lights were out in the room. I did let them know about of the lights and remote my first night and again when I checked out. I would definitely come back.

Nice place to stay....was not sure about it when we first drove into the parking lot. The person that checked us in, made us feel welcomed and was super nice. We got to our room and opened the door we were amazed at what we saw. The room was better than we expected, a kitchen ,but no oven, figured that out after we went grocery shopping and bought a frozen pizza to have for dinner but had no way to bake it....lol....lol...
The bed is SUPER comfy and so are the pillows...so many places we have stayed and the bed was horrible,it was like sleeping on a concrete slab, but not a Hotel Coral Reef...we
