I started Lori's in July of 83' in a small storefront in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. After several expansions and a move, Lori's occupies nearly 4500 square feet stocked with thousands of shoes, boots, bags, accessories, and most recently, apparel. We also have two suburban locations on Chicago's North Shore, as well as our website.

In addition to shopping the markets in New York, Chicago and L.A., I spend 2-3 weeks in the spring and the fall on European excursions. In Paris, I'll explore the various arrondissement to shop the trends. Then to Florence, the city of my heart, for friends ("io parlo Italiano"), fashion and art.
Services
Online orders are processed Monday through Friday, within 2 business days of order placement, unless indicated in the product description. Orders placed between 10 a.m CST Friday through 11:59 p.m. CST Sunday will be processed the following business day. On occasion, an order may be placed on hold.
When we sat down to plan our Fall 2021 footwear buy, we recognized that we needed to pair fashion with function. We wanted to have strong "go-to" options, like low-heeled boots, platform boots, and lug soled oxfords (my personal favorite). Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about the comfort of cozy slippers that have an indoor/outdoor appeal.

I have bought several pairs of shoes at Lori's in Highland Park since moving back to town this summer, which is why it disappoints me to share this big customer fail. Last month, I purchased the L'idea (store brand) lug boot at $378. I loved them and wore them for one week. That's when the problems began. The "leather" began peeling off the right boot in two different places. I promptly brought the boots back. The store salesman was very helpful. He said they couldn't just replace them but would send them out for repair and that it would take one week. Nine days later

I ordered a pair of terry On Cloud shoes from this company. I received the wrong pair of shoes and returned them. I contacted the company to let them know I received the wrong shoes. They refunded me for the shoes, but charged me $20 service charge. I emailed them about this and they told me they sent the correct shoes and that they would not refund me the service charge. If they had sent the correct shoes I would not have returned them. I tried to call the company and got a voicemail, no one will answer the phone. Horrible customer service. I will be filing a claim with the Better Business Bureau

I went here because they are known around town for their shoes. While they do have sale items, there was nothing that I liked. They also have women's clothes and purses as well. It was a bit pricier than what U am used to. I decided to wait to order and I didn't see anything I liked!

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!
I ordered a pair of shoes online. They didn't fit and were very cheap looking. I sent them back for return on the same day I received them. A couple days later, I receive an email from Lori's stating that they will not accept this return as the shoes have been worn. !?! And they will be sending them back at my expense! I called, and received no response. I emailed and told them that I did not wear these shoes anywhere - I only had them for an hour! The unprofessionalism is unbelievable here. The constant profanity being used, cell phone usage, and gossip about customers on the sales floor is absolutely embarrassing. From the store owner herself, management, and the sales associates. Also, it’s not very sanitary. Would not recommend! The store and it’s operations definitely needs improvement immediately.

I love Lori’s Shoes! From the minute I walked in I could tell it was a trendy, cool store. I love the summer tops and great walking shoes. The staff is helpful and nice. Plus it’s a woman-owned business! I’ll be back for sure!

I would give a lower rating but I cant, no spot for ZERO!!! This company charges for returns of their badly made, not the right fit sandals. So narrow and tight fitting on reg.feet. The return policy is the dumbest one out their, DONT BOTHER LADIES YOU WILL COME OUT LOSING!

Do not order from them - I ordered a bag as a Christmas present and they shipped the wrong bag. At first they denied it so I had to go to the manufacturer and also give them pictures of my receipt (from them!) to show they sent the wrong item. They finally agreed to refund my money but did not refund my expedited shipping fees. This was a Christmas gift that I wasn't able to give and it was their fault. They should have been apologetic and refunded shipping. Terrible service - do not use!

THEY DO NOT ACCEPT IN-STORE PURCHASES FOR FULL REFUND/RETURNS BACK TO ORIGINAL PAYMENT METHOD. That said, they have really unique shoes, boots, bags and scarves. The sales associates are very helpful.

Purchased my first pair of shoes from Loris in late May 2020. This review is based only on my experience with the service and not the product.
The shoes were cut small and I realized that I needed to exchange them for a larger size. Contacted the customer service number and left a message requesting a return call.....never received the return call and ended up having to return the shoes and purchase them from another online store. Have never seen an online retailer not have live customer service and then not return a customers call....bad business practices!

I brought a pair of The Flexx sandals online that are defective, one shoes is noticeable shorter than the other. I found out after they were delivered that it was a final sale. I wasn't advised that it was a final sale when I made the purchase. Cory, from Customer service made an exception and agreed to refund since the shoes were defective. I received great customer service in a timely manner.

Lori's is my favorite store in the Chicago area. They are always so helpful and very knowledgeable on their inventory and design. I always get compliments on my shoe's from there. I especially love Lori's own line, Lidea.

Cute stuff- great selection of shoes and clothes WORST customer service ever- I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman- the only nice person in the store was the cute high school girl working at the cash register- she was the ONLY person to greet me.

The staff is not helpful at all. They stand around and talk with each other while the customers shop. They don't greet people when they enter or help once you're inside. Very disappointing.

Hmm.. saw a super cute coat that I wanted to purchase but it had a 8" flaw in fabric- ran from button front to side seam. Pointed this out to sales person who called other stores, but no other mediums were available. Then she hung it back up on the rack. Maybe the next person won't notice?

I had a great experience with Lori's Shoes and would definitely order from them again! I had been looking for a particular sandal, in a particular color and size, and it seemed that everywhere I looked, to include the manufacturer, was out of them. I noticed Lori's Shoes may have them, so I called to make sure. I left a brief message of what I was looking for, and within an hour, they called me back. The lady I spoke with said that she called the actual store to make sure they had them before she called me back. She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. It was early

Really wanted to like this place; however their management is HORRIBLE, and apparently it is acceptable to stand by the door and kick customers out a few minutes prior to closing. Will never be back here again.

I went to Lori's yesterday, for the first time. I was bundled up from the cold, and a had my large "catch-all" bag with my handbag and workout clothes. So, it was a large bag.

I have never felt more uncomfortable shipping in a store. All of a sudden, THREE women were following me around the store. One woman even followed me so closely that I tuned around, and she would pretend to be looking in the other direction.

No one ever greeted me, or asked me if I needed help. I was treated as if I was shop lifting.

I came into Lori's a few days ago after lunch with a friend nearby. They had a ton of stuff on sale so it was a little crowded with so much inventory on the floor. I was able to find a really cute winter jacket on clearance for $50. I'd definitely recommend popping in here if you're in the Armitage shopping area just to check out their latest additions.

I've never been a girly girl, growing up I was always more of a tom boy. Even my mom teased me saying that I could look better, and would say looking like that you're going to be single. Never was one for dressing up, didn't care much about purses or shoes either.
