PVI is more than a high school-it's a community. This is a place where people work hard, play hard, and care for each other. No one describes what it's like to be a part of the PVI family better than our students, so watch the video to hear why it's great to Be a Panther.

With our patron St. Francis de Sales as example, we live out our pledge to grow in grace and wisdom by developing the habits of lifelong learners and spiritual seekers. This is not only true for our students-our faculty teach these traits by example. The Cardinal Newman Society has recognized PVI as one of the Top 50 Catholic High Schools in the U.S. based on overall excellence in Catholic identity, academic excellence and civic education.
A PVI education provides students with an outstanding academic foundation, as well as experiences and skills that develop compassion, teamwork, and respect for others that shape their character for life. I received an excellent education at PVI that prepared me professionally and personally for my pursuits in college and after graduation.
Children are strangers to all we are acquainted with; and all the things they meet with, are at first unknown to them, as they once were to us. As a parent myself, I have a great kinship towards our parents. I have been in the same situation in which they find themselves. All three of my sons, Ryan ('97), Jack ('99) and Dan ('05) spent their high school careers at and graduated from Paul VI Catholic High School.
The Bishop of Arlington charters PVI's School Board to provide guidance to the Head of School in designated areas of responsibility such as planning, policy formulation, operations, and advancement activities including public relations and marketing. Members are selected and its officers are elected according to the Board's Constitution and By-Laws, which are approved by the Diocese.
At PVI, it has always been our mission to help the next generation to grow in grace and wisdom. With our challenging academic curriculum, distinguished performance and fine arts programs, outstanding sports, and wide-ranging extracurricular activities, Paul VI is recognized as one of the finest college preparatory Catholic high schools in the country.

The academics are great! The basketball teams are unfair to the real students that attend the school. They recruit for both girls and boys teams. The JV and Varsity coaches for both girls and boys teams don't care about the students. They are not teachers at the school, they are just there for a winning team for themselves. It is a disgrace that the Arlington Diocese allows them to recruit boys and girls just for the basketball teams. They come from far away and most don't have the grades academically to succeed. It is all about the money for the school. No morals or fairness to the girls and boys

A good Catholic school serving students throughout the NOVA area. Has a program for special needs students. Competes in the ultra competitive WCAC, and prepares students for top colleges. Sadly, the Diocese may be moving the school to South Riding. Bishop Loverde, don't move the school and end a history of Catholic high school in Fairfax!
