We welcome you back to school with hope and optimism for a good year ahead. We also recognize that the last 18 months have challenged students and families as never before.
We are here to help: at its core, the mission of the PTSA is partnering with Dr. Mooney and the entire school for a stronger, better B-CC, whether that is to help answer families' questions, provide timely and clear communications, help support and fund student clubs, assist our families in economic need, thank teachers and staff, cover vital academic and social-emotional needs, provide community events and meetings, support the college and career process through our College Advisory Committee, offer dedicated support to our Black and Latino families and all families of color, organize the Used Book Sale, provide volunteers for school events, advocate for all B-CC families, work hand in hand with student leaders, and so much more.

School is good, however it has a much higher potential. Some teachers are outstanding but some lazy and/or do not know how to teach. The school should be a top school in Maryland and in the top 10 in the country. Look at Bethesda and Chevy Chase demographics - it is the most "intellectual" place in the US and one of the most affluent. However, the new principal is dragging the school down. Her most recent "improvement" is to cancel quarterly Breakfasts for All A's Students and replace with Breakfast for Perfect Attendance Students. What comes next? Principal award for wearing shoes????

BCC is only concerned with being a top school in the US. If you are a student who is able to learn quickly without additional help this is a great school. This is not a good school for students with learning disabilities, mental, or emotional issues. Everyone does not learn the same but BCC expects you to learn the way they want you to. They do not care about the well being of students they just want students to get good grades so that they become a top school. I would never send my kids to this school.

Everyone comes to school high, if you didn't come to school high most likely you'll join the stoner group at lunch under the bridge. the teachers really don't care about anything, they don't really grade stuff either, the students only care about getting high. if you go out to lunch you'll end up seeing everyone walking around with a cigarette if their not already under the bridge smoking. honestly its worth the $25,000 a year to send your kid to private school than to see them fall into the cracks.
