We understand we are an essential business providing an essential service to provide a facility where scrap metal can be properly disposed. We have implemented different operating procedures to limit customer and employee interaction in close proximity. This is temporary and hope our customers will understand it is for their safety and our employee's safety.

Newark Recycling Center has been serving the tri-state community for over 20 years. We provide a safe and family friendly environment where customers can recycle metal and receive cash on the spot for their metal. We are known for having one of the cleanest yards in Delaware. Located minutes from Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Interstate 95, we are easily accessible from many major highways.
Services
Newark Recycling has proudly been in business serving the tri-state region since 1993, specifically specializing in scrap metal recycling. We started out as a small operation and have grown into a well respected and reputable operation today, recycling an average of 12000 tons of various metals annually.
Newark Recycling Center is a scrap metal yard serving the tri-state community. We deal specifically with metal recycling, and we will pay cash for the material our customers bring in. We value our customers, that is why we provide excellent customer service as well as keeping the cleanest yard in Delaware.
We have a 2016 Mack Granite roll off truck to service all our dumpsters. If you need us to haul your metal for you, please feel free to call us at 302 737 7300 or use the contact field below. We have thirty yard dumpsters available for your convenience for large quantities of metal. The dumpster dimensions are 22'L X 7.5'W X 6'H.
Please review our rules before visiting the yard. The rules are in place to keep our yard a safe environment for our employees and customers. Some of the rules are also set in place by the state laws that we must abide by. To service you as quickly and efficiently as we can, all material must be prepared and separated prior to your arrival.
A non-ferrous metal is any metal that does not contain iron. Most of the time non-ferrous metals are a non-magnetic metal. If a magnet does not pull to the metal you are testing, it is a probably a non-ferrous metal. Non-ferrous metals are more valuable than ferrous metals and should be separated to get the most return for your metal.

I have gone here before and never had an issue, but today I brought my copper and was paid $1.50 a pound and if you look at any and all copper prices no matter clean or dirty copper today the prices start at at least $3.00 so if you want to be low-balled go here, but I would suggest anywhere but Newark Recycling.

I've been coming here since they opened. Nicest people in the world. They always are friendly and have good prices. I call around and they are always right on the money with the big yards.
Some guy just got fired and keeps giving them bad reviews.
Try them for yourself. You'll never go anywhere else. Good people!!

Lady at the scales is very nice, but the rest of the staff, Not So Much!!! Also I don't like that when you pull on the scale that there isn't any scale that shows you what you weight is. Also when you turn in your copper, stainless and aluminum they have never put my scrap on a scale in front of me. Who knows just how honest that they really are. A pound here from every person could add to their profits Big Time. I think that it's time to find another place. Just Saying! Not going back and good luck to those of you who do !!!!

Dropped off my wire for the first time ever in my life and it was the worst experience. Guy took wire, didn’t speak to me or answer questions I was asking. Very poorly ran and operated. And was told almost all my wire was aluminum when I know for a fact I didn’t have any aluminum. I feel robbed and cheated. Didn’t take my name or anything. I was “black car” to them. DO NOT go here

I've been coming to this place for years! I was gonna write a review for my 1st time cause these people are the best! I saw the poor reviews & was shocked! I always, always call around to compare prices and this place is always about .05 different then (the death trap) Diamond State - where you don't leave without a nail in your tire. These people are always helpful and prices are right on - if you do this for a living. If you never scrapped before & think you're gonna get rich in a shot - your stupid!

This place is the best! I have been a scrapper since before people even knew what it was! I have been to every yard and this one is the best!
They did get some new employees, but they all are very nice and helpful!
I'm getting too old for this so, when I pull up, the crew is there to help me unload! Cleanest place on the whole east coast! I was here when 2 people were complaining about money - it's their own fault! People - you're trash is not worth gold!! If you bring 1 pound - you shouldn't expect $10! The people complaining are always the ones trying to pull something smart and get away with
