The Robert E. Simon, Jr. Children's Center is a NAEYC-accredited, non-profit child development center created to meet the child care needs of the community. We offer an active, full-day, comprehensive program where children are respected and loved. As a full-day preschool program, we provide a catered cold breakfast, a hot lunch and a light afternoon snack.
The transition from home to school can be difficult for infants and their parents. Our teachers strive to make the Nursery classrooms a home-away-from-home for you and your child. Robert E. Simon, Jr. Children's Center infant classrooms include open play spaces, low shelves and stimulating toys to explore - all designed for hands-on learning in a child-friendly, safe environment.
Our staff has great respect for the success of our toddlers and 2-year-old children. Teachers plan age-appropriate activities based on their weekly theme, give opportunities for free exploration to foster independence and take advantage of "teachable moments" throughout the day. Self-help skills are encouraged, along with potty training in the twos program.

I strongly recommend the Simon Center...we have had at least one child there for more than 6 years and I will be so sad when our youngest graduates at the end of this year! The staff are amazing, they all know and love all of the kids, we get lots of information and opportunities to talk with them about how our child is doing, and they use approaches to teaching young children through play that are research-based. The food is great, the activities are amazing, and it really feels like a community of families. My older child is 8 and still has play dates with Simon Center friends. I have felt good

Leaving your children in the care of others can be a very scary proposition for new parents, and the Simon Center has met and exceeded all of my expectations. As the result of a very scary incident with our first day care provider which included receiving a call from Child Protective Services (a call that no parent wants to ever receive), we immediately enrolled our then 2 year old in the Simon Center. Because we have had the experience of attending two different childcare centers, we were able to compare them, and the Simon Center wins hands down.

Both of our children attended Simon Center - my youngest "graduating" this past summer. Our family found the center offered a warm, welcome environment where the staff truly knew each child personally. We appreciated the great year-round schedule and hours of operation that provided maximum flexibility for our family. The center really has a warm, welcome feel with a play-based curriculum where our children thrived - and of course, my kids loved the catered meals!

A job change had us looking for a new childcare option for our twin boys we had used a nanny and a home-based daycare. From my first phone call setting up a tour through the end of the tour, I knew this was the right place for us. I felt right at home from the moment I walked in the doors, every space in the center is well thought out and we could just tell our boys were going to enjoy learning and playing there.
I loved the fact that RESCC is a NAEYC-accredited, nonprofit child development center with a parent directed board. It was great knowing that all the center's children would take part

I couldn't be more thrilled with Robert E. Simon Children Center. We enrolled our child in the Center about 1.5 years ago and not a day goes by that we aren't grateful for the teachers and their thoughtful curriculum and creativity. The teachers integrate fun and learning into each age level. My child gets to experience new activities every day, such as making and flying kites, using puppets, finger painting, "cooking" things like strawberries and cream, and building cars and trains as a class. One of my child's favorite activities is reading one-on-one with her teacher every morning. My child
