Enlisted this service after learning of the backup sick child care option. Owner seemed very nice and professional when I met her, and obviously I was hoping to never use the service since leaving one of my sick children with a stranger is not ideal. However I am out of paid time off, and need another solution.
My youngest had a bad fever this morning, so out of desperation, I called this morning. Three hours ago, NO response. Two calls and two text messages, nothing. I understand that the service may be busy, but there is no excuse for a lack of response after this amount of time. Do not offer

I would give this less if I could. Let me start by saying that the owner seemed very nice at first, which was misleading as to reliability, trustworthiness and honesty. The candidates sent were consistently poor quality and as both my husband and I are physicians, we decided to settle for the lesser of the evils, as it’s impractical to find everything you want. This nanny was as close to a sociopath as I’ve ever met. Would miss doses of antibiotics two days in a row for our daughters ear infection. When questioned about it would say “oops” and laugh it off. If you’re looking for a nanny, I would recommend Nannies of KC. I was a bit overwhelmed at the idea of hiring a nanny but having a local agency that’s been around for over 30 years put me at ease. They did all the screening and background checks so I didn’t have to and we love our nanny! Also good to know they offer backup care, an added bonus. Thanks!
