Community Focus Federal Credit Union, formally National Steel Federal Credit Union, was originally chartered in 1960 as a financial cooperative serving the salary employees of National Steel and their families. At that time, our charter expanded to 15 cities: Allen Park, Brownstown, Ecorse, Flat Rock, Gibraltar, Grosse Ile, Lincoln Park, Melvindale, River Rouge, Riverview, Rockwood, Southgate, Trenton, Woodhaven, and Wyandotte.

I will never use another bank for loan again other than this bank! Dina Stewart was amazing from all different aspects. She listened to me from all aspects around such as credit issues I had, working with me to raise my credit to get me my correct score I needed to pursue a car loan. Dina even gave me feedback on the cars I was interested in. Because of her, I was able to take home a basically brand new 2018 army green Dodge Charger.
Dina and I had major issues working with Yark Auto out of Toledo Ohio. They would not accept cash over the phone to mark my dream car as sold. So she complained for

Community Focus Credit Union has been there for me for many years now. From refinancing my car to save me money on interest AND lowering my car note. To approving me for not one, but two debt consolidation loans to help me get my finances in order as I prepare to purchase my first home. Lindsay was quick to tell me everything she needed to make my debt consolidation happen and once the documents were provided to her she was able to complete the loan in just 48 hours! She answered all of my phone calls and emails and just did an awesome job! They even met with me to discuss how to repair my credit

I just wanted to leave a review in regards to my loan experience I had with Taylor Cadzow from the loan department. Ive been banking with Community focus for a few years now; and it’s been the best banking decision I’ve ever made. Taylor C. At the brownstown location is absolutely amazing.! She was my loan officer when I was in the market for a new vehicle and she made the process so easy. She got me the best rates possible and I can honestly say it was stress free. I felt very comfortable and safe working with her and the credit union and will continue to work with them in the future. Community focus gets 5 stars, Taylor gets 6

Taylor apart of the loan financing department is such an outstanding worker she’s a very patient young lady and goes out of her way to make sure she takes care of the guests. Every time I call to get information on my loan and credit card she’s quick to help me! I usually don’t leave reviews but it’s just a great experience all the way around when Taylor helps me out! She’s the best!

I moved to Michigan from Florida and was devastated to leave my bank in Florida of 15 years. It wasn’t till I met Dina who helped my family and I set up new accounts, refinance some loans to be local and set us up with some new loans for cars and motorcycles.
