Health psychology is a specialty area that focuses on how health, illness and wellness are influenced by a wide variety of factors. While contagious and hereditary illness are common, there are many behavioral and psychological factors that can impact overall physical well-being and various medical and psychological conditions.

Health psychologists focus on how biology, psychology, behavior, spiritual and social factors influence health and illness. My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and the importance of preventive care. Drawing on my education and experience, I work with clients to help them make the dietary and lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.

Well I think you may believe so after you give them a try. As a health psychologist I am always searching out new and unique foods for my clients that can add protein and reduce inflammation. When I was enjoying a meal at one of my local Mediterranean grocery stores, I came across a jar of Lupini beans.
What if you were to learn that you have the potential to change, choose, and decide your mood; challenging negative thought patterns, which tend to be heightened during a crisis of cancer. Positive psychologist and author Dr. Sonja Lyubomirsky studies happiness and its influence. Her findings reflect that while 50% of happiness is in our genetic code and 10% is based on our life circumstances, 40% is self-determined and lies within each of us.
Diving into a full-scale exercise habit is asking a lot, especially if simply getting out of bed is a struggle. Stay in the sheets? Why not, if the alternative is "running 10 miles." Of course, tailor this advice to your experience level. If you ran marathons before depression reared its head, a 20-minute jog might be too easy.
The star has a family with a major history of health issues and is a self-admitted hypochondriac. He had the "ideal diet" in his opinion until he read that processed meats increased colorectal cancer by 18%. This came as a shock to him that food affected cancer rates. The American Cancer Society, during the time of this film, still listed processed meats on their website which was listed as a group 1 carcinogen.
I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. How does your decision making style affect your eating behaviors? Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to make poor eating decisions? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising?
