Burgundy Square Cafe is appreciated by locals as a destination for simple food abundantly served. Our large dinner group of 24 people enjoyed friendly, prompt, error-free service. The food was delicious, the portions were perfect, and the prices are totally reasonable. This popular cafe was bustling with regulars who obviously recognize a great deal.

In Memory of Chuck Cyr. He built Burgundy Square Cafe back in 2011 from the ground up. We will continue his legacy by serving this community the best home style cooking with New England flair. We would like to thank this community for the outpouring of support, we are deeply saddened by the loss of Chuck Cyr.

Lobster roll was okay, side salad was not very good and gave me... gastic distress.
Buffalo chicken wrap was SWIMMING in buffalo sauce, which itself wasn't very good. Fries were clearly old fries they put back in the oil, they were overcooked and soaked with oil.
Overall pretty negative experience, but service was good!

I was excited to visit this place after reading about one of their specialties being New England seafood. Was such a disappointment on all levels. The clam chowder was watery and the potatoes were raw and there was no flavor. I ordered haddock sandwich and such a disappointment. Being from New England it’s hard to match the fresh seafood available everywhere up there! Service was slow and they were not that many people there. I’m giving these people a break because like everywhere understaffed so always keep that in mind! I will not go back.

Go for the lobster rolls! I’ve had them hot and cold here and they were delicious both ways. Lots of lobster!! The cold version is not overloaded with Mayo, just the right amount. I’ve also had salad and burgers here and thought both were very good. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I prefer sitting at the tables outside, which are in a covered area.

Had breakfast and the fried potatoes came out burned to a crisp. You'd think a cook would have caught this, and especially, the waitress but no.
I waited more than a few minutes for the waitress to return. Once I pointed out the issue, she brought out a fresh plate of potatoes that were good. Unfortunately by that time, the fried potatoes ended up being dessert as the rest of our breakfast was either gone or cold.
Sorry. We won't be coming back.

This is bay far our favorite place in Venice for a home style meal. We live on the coast of northern Mass and i find the seafood fried or baked better than most of the places here. It must be where they get their shell fish and fresh fish from northern Maine. The owners and staff always make us feel right at home. Looking forward to our next meal with them

Walking past this restaurant for months finally decided to pop in for breakfast
blueberry pancakes were large, hot, plenty of berries…yummy.
coffee was just ok… seemed “old” and I like mine much hotter, but that’s me:)
the seafood omelet was a truly an omelet. egg wrapped around filling. the only recognized seafood was the shrimp. it was tasty and home fries were good, not overpowered with oil
the outside seating pleasant, I’ve included my view in a picture:)
staff extremely friendly and attentive
bathroom clean.
high chair, let’s say I wish I had brought more wipes. (very

Wow!!!
We were looking for a breakfast restaurant while on vacation and came upon this place. OUTSTANDING!!
My wife ate the New Orleans omelette and I ate the Seafood omelette. Both absolutely delicious with loads of seafood in both.
We started our breakfast with a Bloody Mary, yummy.
We highly recommend this restaurant.
