Innovative Pain Solutions
Chronic pain is a complex medical issue. While there are various clinics out there who offer one-sided or partial solutions to this complex problem, it is important to tackle the issue from all sides. Simply doing only nerve blocks, only medication prescription, or physical medicine rehab only is not enough.

This is where an appropriately trained pain management physician who incorporates all of these aspects in his practice comes in. Dr. Kalia specializes in minimally invasive treatments for a wide spectrum of pain conditions. He is double board certified in both Anesthesiology and pain management.
Services
At Innovative Pain Solutions, our procedures for common pain conditions are done under fluoroscopic guidance in the office setting. Dr. Kalia and our team are very experienced and strive to make the procedure a comfortable experience for the patient. Below is a description of various pain conditions and treatments offered at Innovative Pain Solutions.
A condition not to be taken lightly, cervical radiculopathy is the pain, numbness, and even loss of movement throughout much of the upper body. But how does this happen? The underlying cause of cervical radiculopathy is the irritation or inflammation of a nerve in the cervical spine (or the neck). The cervical nerve roots, named C1-C8, come out of the cervical spine above the vertebral level it corresponds to.
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome is a chronic pain condition. It can occur after an injury, and usually is found in the arm or leg. Most people experience this type of pain as a kind of burning feeling. Complex Regional Pain Syndrome can happen to any person, at any age, which is why Innovative Pain Solutions in Dr. Phillips, FL utilizes a variety of treatment options.
Our spine is made up of vertebra. These vertebrae are connected by facet joints, allowing your spine to bend and twist, but not bend and twist too far. The nerves run through these joints and exit out of the spinal cord. A healthy facet joint contains cartilage. The cartilage serves as a cushion between your vertebrae so that they do not grind against each other.
A spinal disc acts as a "cushion" between the vertebrae bones which run along the spine. This cushion helps to absorb the impact that the spinal column receives from daily activities, so that the vertebrae do not grind against each other with every move you make. In the center of the disc is a soft substance called the nucleus pulposus.

The nurses and staff are excellent and very caring. Dr.Kalia is very knowledgeable and professional but has a good bedside manner . I have never had to wait long to see him at my appointed time. And when I have a procedure done he explains exactly what he is about to do and is compassionate if it is painful. I highly recommend him.
