The NUCCA procedure is very different than what would come to mind for most people when they think of chiropractic. Dr. Mike has been fantastic! I came to him in late 2020 to see if he thought I would be a good candidate for NUCCA, as I suffered a hangman's fracture (C2) back in 2013. I've had chronic pain since and had some really bad muscle spasms in my entire neck, but especially in the upper neck where my injury occurred. Prior to seeing Dr. Mike, I was getting radiofrequency ablations every 6 months at the C2, C3, C4, and C5 levels, which had unfortunately stopped working. After hurting my neck a little over a year ago, I was left with constant headaches, neck pain, and feeling dizzy/off balance when I moved my neck. I found Dr mike online and read about NUCCA and decided to give it a try. I've only been a few times so far, but I am definitely feeling much better and have seen improvements. Dr. Mike D'Avanzo came highly recommended. I had suffered back and neck pain along with headaches for a long time. Since my first session with Dr. D'Avanzo I felt significantly better and the pain on my neck was gone. He was very attentive to my concerns and did a thorough examination and x-rays followed by the adjustments. The pain on my nick disappeared and I felt the overall alignment of my body drastically improve. I was also pleasantly surprised that my headache was gone as well. Dr Mike is awesome! About a year ago, I was diagnosed with Meniere's Disease (disorder of inner ear) & this caused severe episodes of vertigo. The day of my 1st appointment I walked into Dr. Mike's office super dizzy & nauseous (also associated with Meniere's). After my 1st NUCCA treatment, I couldn't believe how "normal" I felt! Amazing is all I can say.!! After 15 years of traditional chiropractic adjustment. I was left with what I assume you’d call an over adjustment of my neck. Which left me with chronic neck pain, limited mobility and constant migraine headaches. After a brief conversation with Dr. Mike about his NUCCA chiropractic, I was very skeptical it would work. I have been very pleased with my progress since I began to see Dr. D’Avanzo. My first visit involved a consult, a series of very specific x-rays of my skull and neck and an adjustment. Dr. D’Avanzo, also known as Dr. Mike, used the digital X-rays he took to show me how my head was leaning too far to the left and how it was affecting my posture in an adverse way. He then performed an adjustment, which was quick and very gentle and then did a follow up x-ray, which showed that my head was much more aligned and pretty close to where it should be.

I have been going to various chiropractors for the last 40 years. At best I come out feeling better 2 times out of ten. With doctor D’Avanzo it is 10 times out of ten. I don’t know how he does it, but it works wonderfully for me. My wife is experiencing the same. We only need to visit him once every 2-3 months, because our backs stay align longer now. We fly to New York from Chicago to see Dr. D’Avanzi. He is the best!
