It is hard to be pleased when you have to spend money repairing your vehicle but they take a little of the sting out of it. I have been going to Terry Sayther for years and feel like they know what they are doing and that they are honest with me. Furthermore I have always been treated with the upmost courtesy and respect.
They definitely get a thumbs up from me. Terry Sayther Automotive is Austin's oldest independent BMW repair shop, and we also specialize in MINI & Land Rover service and repair. Our expertise covers not just regular service and maintenance needs, but also difficult repairs and special projects. Automotive was founded in 1978 after Terry drove and fell in love with a BMW 2002. Working from our present location, he became the first BMW whisperer of Austin-the first Independent Shop to service these glorious German Machines! Since that founding, he and his wife, Debbie Stuart have grown the business like a family.

I appreciate that they're always great a communication (the service report is incredible) and on time! I got my car back today and it is running great. I did have a little issue with brake pads they did previously, but they warrantied them for me and got everything fixed up.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this automotive repair shop. I have a 2016 LR4 that is an excellent condition and has only ever been serviced at the Land Rover dealership. However, my transmission light came on and when I called Land Rover to get an appointment, I was told they would not be able to see my car for at least two weeks and there were also no loaners available until February....over a month wait! Insane! My husband recommended that I try Terry Sayther as he always sees high end cars being serviced there and he had also heard great things about them. I drove there immediately

Won’t service my vehicles anymore. They are “too old” now. It’s a 2004. Nothing broken, just need fluid changes. 🤷🏼

Of course you guys haven’t serviced this vehicle, you have previously denied me without even an inspection because it’s a 2004. But your computer shows my other vehicles; I am a prior customer. Regardless, denying someone an oil change (per whats-her-name on the phone) due to age of vehicle is stupid. I understand why you age-restrict repairs, I really do. But performing routine maintenance is different from asking for you repair a secondary air injection

I had a check engine light on my BMW and had learned it wasn't too urgent but needed to be dealt with. I had called a different shop close to my house, which was booked for over a week, and they actually named Terry Sayther as an alternative resource with good references from their customers. I was able to make an appointment for several days out, and they let me know ahead what the worst-case cost would be. They clearly are experts on this car, and I feel great about their work. I'm glad to have found them!

Incredible customer experience.
I was looking for a Bosch car battery for my Subaru Forester and my research led me to Terry Sayther Automotive (they are one of the few local places that offer Bosch batteries).
Two hours before the shop closed, I used the contact form on their website to ask about the battery. They responded within minutes and said the battery would be delivered and ready for pick up the following morning. That’s freaky fast service.
I showed up today and was greeted by Duncan. He was friendly and helpful.

I brought my 2012 Range Rover HSE in for the first time for a brake service and 105K mile service, after researching Terry Sayther online for a couple of months. My Rover had been serviced exclusively by Land Rover Austin previously, but I had been wanting to make a change to find a more cost effective option. Moved here from San Antonio and was identifying a new place to take care of my cars. Fell in love with the charm of their shop, and love that these guys are BMW/german specific. I just got an oil change but I can't complain about the service I got from Rhett - he was great to work with and stated clear expectations and timeline.
