Currently a senior here. Great school. It's really easy to get involved in extra-curricular activities. A lot kids in the CAP program hate it here, but a lot of them also like it. But forget them they represent less than 10% of the schools population. There's no other school in the county as diverse as Blair. We have a great community and a superb social studies department. I think this school has prepared me for college in less obvious ways.

I have lived in, and around, Silver Spring for many years. It's a great school, known for leading education, being progressive, and diverse. Part of the reason I moved to Silver Spring was so that my daughter would have the opportunity to go there.

Meh. Could have been a lot worse. Overall, challenging but rewarding classes with great teachers. General disregard for student problems by administration is a very big problem though - along with socioeconomic bias for the sake of pandering to the upper county elites. Students are generally respectful (albeit unkind at times) though.
