Start your year off right with Yoga for Wellness! Starting in January, LPCC Stacey Aiton will be teaching this virtual yoga class on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM. The class will have a different wellness theme each week. For January, the themes will be gratitude, self-forgiveness, non-judgement, and letting go.
Optimal Wellness Center (OWC) originally opened its doors in 1996 as Optimal Health Chiropractic Clinic, a true comprehensive, holistic care clinic. The Yorktown was a beautiful old building, built back in 1904, but had fallen under extreme neglect and needed renovation.
The 10,000 square foot wellness center consists of the original Optimal Health Chiropractic Clinic with expanded services including acupuncture, massage services, myofascial release, steam pods with aromatherapy steam room, far infrared sauna, flotation tanks, and counseling.

I am happy to review this company. I love using Standard Process supplements in my health care regime, but finding a reliable source can be difficult. Optimal Wellness Center is not only reliable, but they offer a very reasonable price. Also, customer service is very important to me. Esther, their Office Manager, is FABULOUS!! I saw Dr. Wendy for a nutritional consultation. It wasn’t as I expected, but I was happy with the process and outcome. I found the pricing to be reasonable, and it was only a one-time visit. If you’re interested in getting a body scan to find where your nutritional deficiencies lie, then this is a great place to start. I was recommended to take enzymes, as I’m low in acid in order to properly digest meat protein. I also found that I have a mild sensitivity to gluten. Very informative, and very easy. I highly recommend!

I received an e-mail today saying an appointment was made in my name to see some Dr. They said I'll be charged $100.00 fee for not coming today and if I don't pay I cant come back (No big deal) I was not pleased with their service. The secretary was not a good listener, she cuts you off, over talks and very unprofessional . If they are going to charge a fee at least let the customer know first before the appointment is made, or give a courtesy call/text like most companies. Not just slip it in.. Not impressed especially when you have experienced way better. Fill the oil bottles up for the steam

Dr Sam is an amazing doctor! She has been very helpful to me and my family. She's personable, very knowledgeable and genuinely cares about the wellbeing of her patients. I'm very grateful for her services.

So apparently this business' parking lot adjoins the parking lot for an apartment complex I was visiting. The parking lot for optimal wellness was completely empty. As I was leaving (with my sick 8 year old) a staff member pops up next to my car (where did she come from? No idea!) I roll down my window and she speaks to me in this sugary sweet voice - hi, so this is actually not part of the apartment parking. This (gesturing to the spot next to me) is the dividing line. I have seen Dr Mike off and on for about a year or so now. He is very knowledgeable in his field as a neurological chiropractor. Specializing in a bunch of other things like kinesiology etc. I highly recommend that if you have anything going on with your muscles and your body or you just need to find out how to balance your body that you contact Dr Mike at Optimal Wellness Center.
Everyone that works there is so very nice and helpful. They have an amazing little store inside where you can purchase anything from supplements to hail Mary chocolate peanut butter

Dr. Sam is absolutely incredible! It's the first time I've truly felt seen and heard by a Doctor in my entire life. I can't wait to continue working with her as I've already seen some amazing improvements whereas other doctors could never get to the root of what was going on and causing me so many symptoms. Save your money and time. Bobbi gave me "somewhat" of a massage, not sure what she was doing. She spent more time sipping her kombucha than working on my problem area(right shoulder). Her whole vibe is very cold and unwelcoming, not a setting for a relaxing massage at all.
She also was ready to overcharge me for $90 ( the website advertises $70 for a 60 minute massage) so when I asked she came back and said that she accidentally told me the higher price... how convenient!

After 2 acupuncture appointments at this place my body was back on track!! The stress that I was dealing with for 3 months began to dissipate! I was shocked when the dr told me that I could stop coming as I am use to them trying to take everything that they can get from you. I will definitely be back when I need a reset!

I just called with some questions. The lady who answered the phone told me to look on line and schedule an appointment if I couldn't tell her right away when I want to schedule. She seemed rushed and rude. She was neither warm nor friendly. First impressions are everything. I was also assesing this business and I don't like how I feel after this contact with them. Not much of a spiritual feel to this place. Sure I can place my own appointment and read about the high prices on line... I wont be setting an appointment though. I love Optimal Wellness. I got the 10 pack for infrared sauna, which I do about once per week. The staff is always very nice, the sauna is almost always ready for me, the temperature is just right, and it is very clean. Parking is easy, you go around back and there are always spots. I've been thinking of trying out one of the massages next.

This spa looks to be located in an old repurposed apartment building which should be a surprise to no one, as it's Lakewood. What did you expect? For those looking to visit, there is a parking lot behind the building. When facing the building, there is a narrow ally way to your left. Drive up that and you can park against the back of the building.

This a real wellness place where you get more than just a service. Front desk people are super nice and helpful. They know you are there for a reason , a purpose and they just fit right with you! No clash! No commotion! Very easy! Like it was meant to be.
I enjoy flotation here. The infrared sauna is a plus!! I love it.

I went for a float tank session and the room the tank was in was filthy! I could not believe anyone would even float in the tank that was banged up on the outside. The floor felt gritty, there was either paint or something all over, it looked like it was under construction, I could not relax enough to even get in the tank. The shower felt dirty where you were supposed to clean off before and after your session. I would not go back, for something that is supposed to relax you this place did nothing but put me on edge.

I really wanted to love this experience, but was unable to do so due to LOUD UNENDING BANGING right outside the room where I was trying to relax and float. It sounded like someone was moving (and dropping) big boxes of pots and pans. I also noticed the room aesthetics showed very little effort to create a relaxing spa environment. Plain white walls, no relaxing artwork or aromatherapy, a tacky old nightstand, and a sign on the tank stating that customers should use only one towel after their shower. I have been seeing Dr. Jordan for a few months. My family has been seeing him for much longer than I have and they swear by him being the best and in my opinion they are right. Any other doctor you see is in such a rush to write you a prescription which just seems really temporary to me. Dr. Jordan is really ready to sit down and help you deal with whatever it is you're visiting for. I saw a few other reviews complaining about the religious aspect of it. Yes Dr. Jordan believes in God. It was a minor deterrent at first being an atheist and all but he has never been the least bit preachy. I

I bought a groupon for a session the flotation tank and just tried it this past weekend. Sarah was at the front desk and was incredibly helpful and reassuring - it was my first time so I didn't know what to expect. I'm slightly claustrophobic and don't particularly enjoy enclosed spaces, but I absolutely loved it - I couldn't believe how relaxed and well-rested I felt the rest of the day. I just bought another 5 sessions and I can't wait to come back.

So I noticed a few things that were out of the ordinary for your typical spa. I went in for a flotation tank session (sensory deprivation tank). First of all.. The lady at the front was, I believe, high on some kind of stimulant. Twitchy, jittery, nervous, shifty eyed, etc. I'd be fine with a stoned person at a place for relaxation, but it was a bit weird to find a tweaker behind the front desk.

Doctor Mike is amazing! I have been to him for several issues and had a great experience every time. He's helped me recover from 2 car accidents with multiple injuries and also helped me with digestive issues. Dr Mike gets down to the nity gritty of issues. He doesn't just look at the skeletal and muscular damages, he goes to a cellular level to correct the problem (if a cellular level is needed). He also explains things very well and spends time with his patients. He answers all questions in a way that the patient gets it and he puts his heart and soul into his work. You get

Overpriced and the people there were extremely stuffy. I was made to feel very uncomfortable the entire visit. And I waited a very long time to be seen. They didn't really do anything to help me and I walked out feeling ripped off, after paying for their ridiculously-priced supplements and appointment. I couldn't even see Dr. Jordan unless I had 6 visits with someone I had no confidence in and was right not to. About $500 later, I felt like I'd been completely scammed.

Really happy this place exists! Did the Float which was fantastic. A little weird to adjust to but once you let yourself go its amazing and feels as good if not better than a massage afterwards.
Helpful staff. Calm and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere.
