I've known Dr. Watkins every since she was a medical student. I have worked with her and have directly seen how much she cares for her patients She would never ask a patient for any reviews. That's just not how she is. Don't just use Yelp reviews to make the decision on which doctor to choose for you or a loved one. Call her office and you can decide for yourself! She is the kind of doctor anyone should choose. She cares so much for ALL her patients!

I am a past employee of Dr Melanie Watkins. During my employment with her I saw a hard working psychiatrist who went above and beyond for her patients. She is conscientious and caring. Melanie has the ability to put you at ease, as she is warm and good natured. She smiles and looks you in the eye when you are talking to her. I felt like she listened to my questions about work and gave me good answers. Dr. Watkins is an exception psychiatrist to work for.

As a Registered Nurse, I've worked with lots of professional people from different backgrounds, races, cultures, and ethnicities. I've also had the pleasure of working with Dr. Watkins in a professional setting as well. Dr. Watkins, has not only shown, but PROVEN to both staff and her patients that she practices from a place of compassion and warmth for her patients and their families. She wants the best outcome for them. She takes time out and engages with her patients-listening to their concerns, involving them in their treatment plan and building a great rapport with her patients

I had doubts about writing a review because I was afraid I would have to experience a nightmare with Melanie all over again. Burt people has a right to know! This review is not for me throw some complaints and get attention. As a professional, a clinical psychologist, working with many psychiatrists over years in my clinical practice, I am outraged at the most unprofessional, borderline unethical, services by this person. She doesn't take any insurance, and your first visit will cost you around $450 for 1-hour intake. Ok, I expected that. However what happens next, I urge you to finish reading

The 5 star review is by a friend or colleague. It doesn't represent a real patient.
I never got to see Dr. Watkins because my experience trying to make an appointment was handled so unprofessionally. Any doctor that would have such poor representation for the first impression, must not be very professional herself.
It took a long time for me to get up the courage to call someone for help. Calling this office set me back months.
