Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital opened in 1963 and its practice has been part of the Puget Sound community for 50+ years. Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital came to be because of the pioneering veterinary spirit and vision of three outstanding men. Their goals and mission were to offer medical care for horses, dogs, cats, dairy and beef cattle, llamas, alpacas, goats and sheep.
Serving Snohomish and the Puget Sound region as a full-service mixed-animal practice, it is now one of the largest multi-species veterinary practices in the United States. At Pilchuck, we believe that the best possible care for our patients results from operating based on our core values.

We do our very best to provide quality veterinary care to all of our patients, large or small. When a furry family member becomes sick or injured, veterinary care can quickly become an unexpected financial burden. In order to help ease this stress, we will prepare an itemized estimate or treatment plan, so you know what costs to expect.
I truly can't thank the veterinarians and technicians of Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital enough for taking care of my dog Peter. I had just gone on vacation and an emergency happened at home, long story short - my dog was bit multiple times by another dog with an aggressive history.
It was nearly impossible to find an animal hospital because they're all very busy and this happened late at night (we live in Kirkland and no other hospitals in the area had availablity to take in another patient). We finally got in touch with Pilchuck through their emergency line and they were able to take my dog in and treat him.

Pilchuck offers both externship and internship programs for veterinary students and graduates. Equine externships lasting two to three weeks are available to students who have completed two years of veterinary school. Externships are designed to provide hands-on experience in large animal medicine and surgery to students interested in pursuing an internship after graduation, and those seeking experience in a private practice setting.

Pilchuck saved our Gus cat’s life the other night by helping him through a urinary obstruction. The staff and providers were very kind and concerned. They made management of his pain their top priority. He came home today stable and happy. They gave us clear instructions on how to help him heal, and advice on prevention of repeat trouble. Thank you!

Wonderful Staff and Vet for an ER visit for Luna. They were very attentive and help our sweet Luna. I have been to ER vets years ago for other pets we have had and I have to say this is by far the best experience. Definitely would recommend this ER if you ever have to take your pet in for an emergency.

Amazing service when my older dog needed an abscessed tooth pulled. Even with his heart murmur, they were able to do it safely and get him back to us. Prices are a but higher than what other places charge but the staff and docs made up for it! We will bring our pet to them for anything in the future!

We appreciated the care, concern, and kindness the entire staff extended to us and our Roy this morning. We never thought we’d have to say goodbye to him in an emergency situation like that, but you all made him comfortable and helped the transition for us all as much as you possibly could. We are forever grateful for your kindness, professionalism, and grace as we experienced something so very heartbreaking. Thank you for caring for our best boy.

The ER staff is so kind and helpful. I brought my dog in for some sort of intoxication and they immediately took her back and got to work on her. Dr Murphy called with updates and took all my questions and concerns. She understood just how much my dog meant to me and did her best to not only comfort my dog, but me as well! Her and her team truly saved my dogs life! Thank you Pilchuck!

We had our beloved 19 year old cat euthanized today. The employees who helped us here today were exceptional. Very kind and patient with us. Clearly they care about the animals and their customers. No heavy pressure just lots of love and understanding. Really impressed and would highly recommend them for your pets needs. Thank you❤

ALWAYS AMAZING! We had to bring my lab here in 2012 when he got into onions and they saved his life! I brought my new puppy here when she was 3 months old because she had crystals and every single one of them were so kind, knowledgeable and very sensitive to my situation. Flash forward to today and I’m watching my best friends dog who is half… sibling to my dog. He was not doing good and they took him in even when I know during this time with covid is so hard. I know they are booked out, kennels occupied, and the staff are burnt out. They deserve more appreciation than just this post

Extremely poor customer service. When my dog was there for emergency care, I had to call to get an update and then I was put on hold for an extremely long time. I was told that a vet would call me back but none did in the 2+ hours I waited. The cost is extremely high, but the care is not anything beyond what any other vet could do.
