Services
In this type of therapy, human and horse therapists work together in a wide range of healing experiences to promote emotional well being and alleviate psychiatric symptoms such as depression, anxiety, confusion and disorganization. EFP is also appropriate for people who are experiencing grief and loss, issues related to abuse, trauma or relationship difficulties at home or work.
EFL is appropriate for individuals, groups or corporate teams. This work includes equine activities incorporating the experience of equine/human interaction in a learning environment. EFL promotes personal exploration of feelings and behaviors in an educational format. Our methods are based on the EPONA approach, teaching emotional agility and learning about the messages behind our emotions.

I am enjoying my riding lessons at Great Strides. I have been riding for about 13 years and lost my confidence. I love the way I am learning how the rider impacts the horse. My horse and I are getting along much better these days and my trail riding has become enjoyable once again.
During the cold weather I took an unmounted lesson and learned more about seat bones and bear down. Even though I had heard and practiced these things in my lessons and personal riding, I found the lesson to be very hands on and practical. It was most helpful.
