My son transferred from a highly rated public school at the end of 1st semester freshman year. He fit in immediately. His home work load increased almost infinitely, however he never complained. The difference is the teachers and staff are legitimately invested in his success. His grades have improved despite the tougher grading scale (100-93 is an A opposed to 100- 90 and so on). His student experience has been awesome as well, he never would have participated in a musical or theatrical production at the public school, however being a smaller school there was a need for actors, so he tried it
