The Skilled Trades Academy prepares students with resume-building skills and unlimited career possibilities. While many schools are cutting fine arts programming, we believe the arts are an essential aspect of every student's education. I just want to say thank you to all of the teachers, administrators and staff members who are working so hard to continue educating students during these trying times.
A lot of the reasons I do what I do today - and why I am who I am today - are because of Shoreland. What I learned there spiritually, mentally, physically. I learned how to be a winner, how to deal with losses, and how to work hard. Since the beginning, Shoreland's mission has always focused on preparing students to lead lives of Christian service. Jesus didn't call us just to be another school among the many that serve the area. He called Shoreland specifically to equip students with the knowledge, skills, Christian character and moral courage necessary to change lives through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Shoreland Lutheran High School's roots date back as far as 1921 when Friedens Evangelical Church in Kenosha added a 9th grade to their elementary school program. The 9th grade courses eventually were discontinued in the late 1920's when the Great Depression impacted the number of students that attended.
Shoreland's mission is focused on preparing students for lives of Christian service. Our community service activities are designed to help students discover their God-given spiritual gifts and to learn how to use them to share the message of God's love in a practical way.

Compelled by the love of Christ, Shoreland Lutheran High School exists to EDUCATE, EQUIP, and ENCOURAGE students for lives of Christian service. Our vision is to use our faith-based curriculum and programs to be the premier school located between Milwaukee and Chicago and to maximize enrollment (500) with appropriate facilities, curriculum, staffing, programming, technology, and administration.
