Hy's offers a dependable, professional, smooth ride from the New Haven area to NYC airports. I appreciate the drivers' skill and courtesy. And booking is always easy.
However, the prices have skyrocketed: as of 12/30/2021, a one-way trip to JFK costs nearly $400. That's nearly twice the pre-pandemic rate. New fees are added on: a tip is built in (OK--that's as it should be). Toll fees are nearly $40 (I guess so...). An "STC" fee "Standard Transportation Cost"??) is nearly $60. And now, an "early/late fee" is tacked on--for rides before 8 a.m

Flew into LGA from TPA and got car service into Stamford for a family gathering. Chowdhury sent me texts to keep me updated as to his location and I was able to find him easily. When we met, he immediately helped me with my bags. I knew instantly I would be in great hands. He navigated through city traffic into Connecticut with ease and his driving was very safe and comfortable. The conversation was lovely and he was a very kind and genuine individual. I would recommend this company to anyone and to ask specifically for Chowdhury!!

Truly reckless driving. One of their drivers basically ran me off the road tonight in the middle of New Haven. Had I not slammed on the brakes I would have been pushed into the lane of parked cars when he came into my lane and continued to barrel down Temple Street right the middle of a two lane street. He continued riding the middle line of a two lane road all the way from Grove Street to Elm Street. Not exactly the sort of driver or company I'd be trusting my special event to.

I've used Hy's dozens of times to get to and from the airport and an occasional event. The customer service on the phone is friendly. I get an email confirmation right away. They usually arrive 15 minutes early and we get to our destination with time to spare. This isn't the cheapest option in the area, but the vehicles and service are top notch. I think it is worth paying a tad more and not worrying about missing your flight or getting from one place to another. I tried another company in Fairfield and it was a disaster. Hy's is incredibly reliable.

I have never used a car service for personal use, but a friend recommended Hy's for transport to and from JFK for a vacation trip out of the country. I am so glad I took her advice...using a door to door car service alleviated so much stress at the beginning and end of two long flights. The cars were impeccably clean and the drivers were on time, professional, and helpful with our baggage. It was a great decision to use Hy's and I highly recommend them.

I have been using Hy's Limousine Worldwide about twice each week for over one year. In all that time, Hy's have a 100% perfect reliability record. We did a fair amount of research and asking around before choosing Hy's. We've now used them for 2 round trips to JFK for vacation flights and our daughter's wedding without a hitch.
Everyone from the reservation staff to the drivers have been professional, courteous and efficient.
They follow-up with a reminder e-mail and text message before each leg of the trip as well as a text message on the trip day with your driver's name and phone number.
And the drivers have always showed up on time.

I realize each person has his or her own experience, but after trying other companies, my family prefers to use Hy's Limo service to get our son to and from Yale. Usually he goes from Hartford's airport to New Haven, so maybe others have had less-than-positive experiences going to/from NYC airports? In our son's and our personal experiences, we've always been very impressed with our drivers. They are on time, drive well, and are professional and courteous. Since I wrote the previous review Steve at Hy's has done all he could to remedy the situation. He credited us our trip and has been very attentive. We used the credit to go on a subsequent trip and all was well. The driver was personable and on time; everyone had fun; and we had a safe and successful journey. Within one week (including New Years Day) I had three different drivers in three different vehicles. The drivers were amazing, the vehicles immaculate, with water, newspapers, etc.
On one of the trips to the airport the driver let me know we were coming to a shopping area and do I need to stop for anything!!
I booked both by phone and online, both easy to use with no hidden charges.
I'll never use another service again!

Our experience with Hy's limousine is coming as an experienced owner/operator in Los Angeles. We booked service for one of our clients in Greenwich, CT. We requested and were sent a confirmation for $183.43 for the services requested. Charged $219.08. This was for the first transfer. The second was for the return trip. Quoted $183.43 and charged $242.71.
Their office staff apparently made an error on the price quoted and charged us a higher price based upon the vehicle type. If you are given a price as a client, it should be honored. Its good business. Internal errors happen all

I have used them for 17 years. Loved them until the last two years when it has become clear that they have sacrificed quality for profit.
1. Their customer service is rude. Even when there is a tape of the encounter, they will treat you like you could never be right. And it may take days and days to actually correct a bill.
2. Our last pickup was late because the driver could not find the address. They had picked us up at that address over a dozen times.
3. You may or may not get an email confirmation for your travel. You may have to call to have it sent even after it is promised.

* Totally on time
* Reliable service to the airport from New Haven
* Very nicely appointed vehicles with free water and candy
But the BIG negative is that there is a significant difference between what is quoted and what you pay. For example, the online quote from my home in New Haven was $139* one/way but what I actually paid was $193.43.
The asterisk makes all the difference, as the online quote doesn't include tolls ($16.75), automatic gratuity ($20.85), "STC charge" ($16.68), early/late fee ($21.00) -- or the
