Really? I haven't left a review of Kona Kakes? Well, let me be very clear.. awesome. I have ordered birthday cakes specially designed to my sister's Purple Prince Dreams to monthly cakes for my company to specially designed cakes for my recovery meetings. Those go over great with everybody!
Now, here is the reason why.
White fluffy creamy frosting that is not too sweet AND full of flavor. I mean, you can just eat the frosting alone by the spoonful. Okay. Maybe then it would be too sweet. After all, it is frosting.
That "Not Too Sweet" theme continues in that light yet robust

Kona Kakes is off the charts amazing! I ordered a big cake for a milestone birthday for my husband. I'd never seen the bakery, but went entirely off reviews. The reviews are not exaggerated at all and the cake was beautifully done, with beautiful printing for the Happy Birthday. But aesthetics aside, the cake itself was delicious! I ordered their signature cake, the caramel macadamia nut cake. Everyone loved it and so many of our friends asked where we got it. People who aren't likely to eat more than a bite (me) scarfed down a slice. Kona Kakes will be our new go to every time we can

I have been on a hunt for good cakes and this place was on my list for some time. I was lucky enough to get my hands on these since I arrived nearly close to them closing. So glad to finally try these and it did not disappoint, sooooo good!!! I got them for my sister in-law's bday and we all LOVE LOVE them!!!

I ordered the strawberry with whipped cream frosting! And added some beautiful Orchids on top!

Kona Kakes Verry Disappointing pictures are verry deceiving my cake looked nothing like the cake In the picture. I orderd a mango moose cake and it had no mango puree topping like the picture or moose it was bland and dry. NO one was wearing a mask while decorating cakes in their shop. First time and last time it was overpriced for what it'sworth of them hyiping it up with pictures that dont come out what you expect them to be. Sticking with Lambert chineese Bakery and Mexico Lindo Both are Best Bakerys Ever!!!!

I've had my first Kona Kake at a friends daughters birthday a few years ago and since it wasn't too far from my place, I stopped by every now and then when they made cupcakes! My husband made sure we got an 8 inch for my birthday in 2019, and my last birthday I hoped to get one but completely slipped our mind. I decided to try my lunch with a last minute celebration for my daughters birthday last weekend, I called Saturday hoping for Sunday pick up, the gal who picked up said there's usually a 2 day notice and they are closed Sunday, but happened to have an 8 inch if I wanted to

Ordered a Marble Caramel Macadamia nut cake for my son's birthday, and it was delicious. The frosting is so light, I think that's what makes it yummy.
I also decided to try the service where you provide a picture to put on the cake. It turned out really great! The picture quality was a slightly darker compared to the original photo but it was totally fine!
As a leftover cake, it is just as delicious as the first day :)

One of the only places where you can get a lilikoi cake outside Hawaii. They make fantastic cakes here and they occasionally have cake tasting but I couldn’t wait so I bought an individual cake to try. Just writing this review makes me wanna eat their cakes. Stop by buy a slice of cake it’s soooooo good.

Love the new store front in Point Loma! Parking is so much easier and it's easier to find. It's even located a couple stores down from The Cravory cookie shop, so you can definitely get your sweet fix in this area!
I've ordered a couple of cakes for parties and they never disappoint. Our guests always love the cakes.
The favorite flavors are their POG (passion orange guava), strawberry guava, toasted coconut with pineapple and of course their caramel mac. You really can't go wrong with any flavor though!

Idk never been to hawAii but not sure if there’s shortage of strawberries and an overage of Parmesan here. Who puts cheese on a cake anyway?????? Pictures are deceiving, this cake does NOT look like it was portrayed. Also my friends fault for liking strawberry cake for his birthday? Obviously chocolate is better

The best cake I've ever consumed. Sweet but not so sweet. Melts in your mouth goodness. Delicious baked to perfection. And to top it off pretty looking too. Sad they don't have a bakery to walk into but they are so responsive to phone orders and emails that its not a problem. Absolutely love this place.
