Absolutely love Peanuts. It's your perfect hole in the wall pub that serves delicious food and great beers on tap. Wanda, Alex, and the rest of the crew make the place feel like home. Very fair prices and TV all around so plenty of entertainment.
Definitely give this place a try.
BTW after any sandwich purchase you get one of Wanda's homemade cookies. Super tasty.

I really like it, lets say love it! Because:
1- The lady who works here is really great and friendly.
2- Inside and decoration is like old American style bars and restaurants.
3- I got sliders, which was their today's special, which was great too.
4- Guests who were here for lunch, looks they come here most of the times and know each other.
And.. you can get a bucket of peanuts for free!
I definitely recommend here specially if you like cozy american style bar and food.

This is not a rate based on politics BUT...I used to frequent this place quite a bit when I worked around the corner (pre pandemic) so it's been like 2 years. I was in the neighborhood the other day and had some time to kill so I figured I'll swing by for lunch. I walk in sit at the bar like I usually did and right in front of me on the back bar counter was a bright read baseball cap that had "TRUMP 2024" now I hate politics but that's neither here nor there and everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs no matter how ridiculous and outlandish they are. This place must have changed ownership or has cut costs due to COVID. I used to drive 30-40 miles just to get their Italian sandwich.
Got one today and the bread was stale and they no longer put cream cheese down on the bread under the meat. That made the sandwich perfect in my opinion.
Bummed out that they forgot how to make what used to be the best Italian sandwich in Orange County.

I ordered sandwiches from here because of the high reviews. Turns out the place was packed on a Thursday night. Nobody wears masks, servers included. Felt very uncomfortable while waiting for the bartender to get my food. On the plus side, the food was still pretty good, but not worth the risk of contracting a deadly disease.

Great spot in a strip mall. Friendly staff but like East coast friendly. They start joking with you right of the bat. Italian sub hot was good, just missing pickled hot peppers, bread was awesome, like you would get from New England. Mac salad was good, not home made but delicious. Peanuts are free and you can just toss the shells on the ground. I think you get a few cookie if you do something but I'm not sure, you can probably just ask for one.

I admire this spot! They serve fantastic dishes, their menu is nice, The chief cook in that place is well trained, I love very much eating all their dishes. The food is always fresh and tasty, the service towards the clients is helpful. I often go to this place and I was never unhappy. I recommend this place.

I came across a menu and decided to stop by for a sandwich. I thought this was just a sandwich shop and they just had cheap beer you can buy. . . This place actually has a bar inside. It actually looks like a bar first, and a sandwich spot second. But that combination is perfect.
It's pretty small inside, but I feel like it's suppose to be like that. It feels cozy and homey. They also have some outside seating as well.

Food was awesome. Fresh and great. Service even better!! Small group of Local College football fans " Owner knows who you are:-'' Saturday -' equals pathetic. Mom's with kids don't need to hear the F-Bomb every 10 seconds. Lay off the IPA and try lite beer. In fact if still feeling Friday night mix in a water. Grow up. Owner will lose biz and you will lose you're favorite watering hole. Oh and Baseball playoffs are starting and there are still a few fans. Keep Lake Forest Wonderful. My home town 40 + years. This is such a comfortable and fun place. We come here often because of the friendliness and family feel. Wanda is a hoot she makes you feel like family even when she's being rude LOL I love her to death. The best BLT'S ever. Are you looking for a place to call your own, this is the place it will give you the feeling that cheers, some of you may be too young to understand that but take my word for it great place to hang out with friends.

Appetizer was the free peanuts and two very reasonably priced beers. Small beer list but a good list nonetheless. For lunch we ordered the Italian Sub and the Philly cheese steak. Both sandwiches were quite enjoyable though I would not call them the best we ever had. Service at Peanuts was friendly and efficient. All in all we enjoyed our meal and felt comfortable in the Pub. We will be back to try the other sandwiches.

I love the collection of sarcastic signs they have on the walls. When I go to Peanuts, I always order the spicy tuna sandwich. The sandwiches are good and they always have at least one local IPA on tap. They give you a small bucket of peanuts and they expect you to throw the shells on the floor. I like the vibe, but if you can't stand to see messy floors, you probably won't like this place.

Just a heads up - this is a beer/wine only bar as of the writing of this review. This is probably the least pretentious place you will find in Irvine. If you want a chill place to grab some pitchers and hang out this is the spot. They have decent bar food and free peanuts too. The bartenders are really nice as well.
