Went here 1st time couple months ago and ordered the Rueben deli grilled style and sandwich and service was really good. 5 stars. Thought I found new favorite deli. 2nd time ordered online the pastriami and reuben and didn't check the grilled box and was disappointed with cold bread (my fault, thought grilled was standard for reubens?). The other issue was there wasn't enough of that delicious meat (especially on the pastrami), seemed like barely 4 oz, and the bread overwhelmed the sandwich. First time trying this spot! And as soon as I got there the cashier wanted me to order immediately and I haven't got to see the menu to check out the options so I felt rushed. I asked what he recommended and he couldn't even tell me what's good so I automatically didn't feel like it was the right spot. But then Uli who was making the sandwich told me what was good and I trusted him and turned out being such a great Sandwich!!! Thanks to Uli I appreciate that and I wish there was more of Uli's in the world to help us feed our needs and give us the best option thank you Uli

I'm back, I've tried another sandwich and this time I did a type of build my own and these exceeded my expectations. Hot pastrami with melted pepper Jack cheese on a fresh roll with all the traditional fare. Tomato, lettuce, pickles, onion, mustard, oil and vinegar. I haven't had pastrami this food since I was a kid growing up in alameda. That's another review for another deli at another time. Love this place!!! Cant wait to go again because I want this sandwich like yesterday!!!

The best sandwich in Orange County. I order the same thing every time: Pastrami with cole slaw on a baguette, Zapp's chips, and a Mexican coke. That combo never fails. Also, I'll forever be grateful to the manager who opened up 15 minutes early because a savage pregnant lady almost started to cry from hunger. 5 stars.

The best sandwiches on 17th street! I love ordering online and picking up my food at curbside. Super easy.
When they were open it is a super clean establishment too! You can tell it is very well managed and also when you order online they NEVER get your order wrong. I would give it 10 stars if I could!

Oh best of all the prices are good, you get your money's worth and amount of serving of food is large portions.

Today I wanted a pastrami sandwich and never have tried theirs. Asked if it was warm and she said yes.
Well, they don't slice pastrami it was chunks and bits of pastrami. Kept falling out of the sandwich. And without mentioning it comes with cheese and pickles on sandwich, removed best I could !! Ate half. Very disappointed.
My quest for a good pastrami sandwich goes on. rye bread was good.
It was clean and staff very nice. Maybe they were having a bad pastrami day.

They make a great sandwich! I've been going here for a long time and a review is way overdue! Great bread, great fillings! The service is good, and I'm very impressed by their current Covid measures! Contactless pickup via call ahead or you can go inside and order- masks, shields, fans, lots of open space... I feel they have done everything possible to make both the employees and customers feel safe and still serving delicious sandwiches!
I live their turkey, and I add the cucumber and sprouts to it to really top it off!

The sandwiches are good as they use Boar's Head sandwich meats but they really get props for making online ordering and pick up really easy during these times. Just go to their website where it is very user friendly and they will give you a pick up time. Once the sandwiches are ready, you can just drive up to the front of the restaurant and pick up your sandwiches at a pick up stand that is on the curb. All bagged up and stapled with your name on it. Super easy, very convenient. The sandwiches are very straight forward and nothing fancy (no special sauces, crazy meats or creations here

They thick cut slow cooked pastrami for 3 hours before layering it on your sandwich. This meat seriously falls apart to the touch and melts in your mouth. Combine this with sauerkraut, Russian sauce, and some cheese and you have the inner workings fit for a god. Highly recommend grilling the Rye bread because they make it to where the inside of the bread is soft while the outside has a nice crunch

What a great place to get a sandwich! The price is very reasonable considering the portions are huge. I got to chow down on a tender, juicy pastrami with the right combination of pickles and mustard on toasted bread. I was definitely impressed with the food but also the customer service. The owner greeted me when I came in and asked me how my food tasted. He definitely cares about giving you a quality experience. Overall , I would highly recommend this place to deli lovers.

Keep thinking about the totally tasty pastrami and slaw combo at this Deli! I’m not a big fan of pastrami but I had one on my vacation in cali a couple of weeks ago. It was so good! The bread tasted amazing and the amount of pastrami is no joke! The service is awesome! The guy at the counter said he is a new owner and is open to customer feedback!

I ordered a pastrami + coleslaw sandwich ($9.50) for lunch and it was delicious. The sandwich comes stacked with thick slices of warm pastrami, coleslaw, your choice of cheese + Russian dressing on a nice rye bread.
I've had a bizillion pastrami sandwiches, but this one was especially tasty. The coleslaw was really refreshing and not overly drenched with dressing. 17th Street also uses a high quality rye that holds the sandwich together without becoming limp.
I'll be back to try other sandwiches - 17th Street serves a solid pastrami.

Woah!! Was totally not expecting such a great deli based off a google review of nearby delis, but this place was awesome!! Plus they feature two of my favorite foods - breakfast and/or sandwiches!
I ordered a customized Monster sandwich, which was a sandwich with everything I love on a HUGE French baguette! It was like Jimmy John’s, only twice the size bread and a ton better because they used better ingredients!

I got to try their pastrami & coleslaw and roast beef & mushroom sandwiches. I enjoyed the saltiness of the pastrami with creaminess of coleslaw; warmth of the meat contrasts with the coolness of coleslaw. I truly amazed by the texture and flavor of the pastrami that resembles the pork meat. Their roast beef was not so impressive. I thought the bread was just okay and all-around meek flavor without any significant trait. I was one of the early customer for lunch and it took them more than 25 minutes before they can serve those sandwiches. They tend to serve lot quicker afterward.

I had the meatball sub here. The meatballs were spicy and delicious. The sauce was excellent to but I would have preferred slightly more of it. The cheese was the disappointment in an otherwise excellent sub sandwich. So meatballs were 5 star, as was the sauce but the cheese was moderate in quantity and was not melted as I have enjoyed in my favorite sandwiches.
The customer service was five star. I had the pleasure of meeting an owner if not the owner. Listening to her I found out they use the same suppliers of some of my favorite sandwich places (the highest quality meats and breads).
