Take a round-trip adventure with a ride on the Schuylkill River Trail, tour of Morlatton Village and return trip via kayak. Bike Pottstown/Bike Schuylkill is a completely free bike share program with locations in Phoenixville, Pottstown and Hamburg.

Managed by the Schuylkill River Heritage Area, Bike Pottstown/Bike Schuylkill is available to anyone aged 16 or over providing a driver's license or valid state ID. Visit one of our locations in Pottstown and Hamburg (seasonally) and enjoy a FREE ride on one of our signature yellow cruisers and see what it's all about.

Bike Pottstown/Bike Schuylkill is a community bike share program that is managed by the Schuylkill River Heritage Area. The bikes are free and can be used by anyone ages 16 and up. To borrow a bike, you must leave a driver's license or valid state ID upon checkout. The bike can be ridden for a short time or the entire day, however it must be returned before the loaning office closes for the day.
Bike Schuylkill and Bike Pottstown are two versions of the same completely free bike share program. Bikes are available in Pottstown year round, and in Hamburg during the summer months. In Pottstown, the program is known as Bike Pottstown, while in Hamburg it is known as Bike Schuylkill. Schuylkill River Heritage Area offices located near the Schuylkill River Trail at 140 College Dr., Pottstown, 19464; 484-945-0200; M-F 8:30-3:00.
Bike Schuylkill-Hamburg bikes are conveniently located. Take a spin around the park, ride to State St. or visit the Reading Railroad Heritage Museum at 500 Third St. Or head over to the State Street Trailhead and follow the Schuylkill River Trail to the Kernsville Dam Recreation Area. Bike Pottstown/Bike Schuylkill is a completely free bike share program managed by the Schuylkill River Heritage Area. Anyone aged 16 and over can borrow a bike by providing a driver's license or valid state ID to a program administrator. To check out a bike, stop by one of the Bike Share locations.
Bike Pottstown/Bike Schuylkill is a collaborative effort that involves the hard work and dedication of many people. One of only 49 congressionally designated National Heritage Areas in the country, the Schuylkill River Heritage Area uses conservation, education, recreation, historic and cultural preservation and tourism as tools for community revitalization and economic development.
