The owner was so kind and professional, even let my daughter pet the shop dog while mounting my cleats onto my shoes. He was very honest and the shop had a huge selection compared to most shops. He even stopped building a bike he was working on to help me try on shoes. I will be back for sure

Can't say enough good things about this bike shop. Justin is very responsive and professional. He was patient and answered all of my questions, so I drove 2 1/2 hours just to do business there. Highly recommended!

Great bike shop that sells great quality bikes. They also service bikes including not just the ones they sell. My son bought a used bike and it needed sprucing up. He brought it to JB bike shops and they fixed it up better than new. I’ve had other services done as well. I had a bike that the seat was too high for me and they took care of cutting the post down so I could ride more comfortably. All the services were done quickly and very reasonably priced. They are your old fashioned family business with a care you don’t see very many places anymore.

This is a great local bike shop. Service prices are reasonable and they try very hard to do what's right for you whether it's sales or service. Lots of big name products with the prices that go with. This isn't the local big box store after all, but quality is the game.
I've been a relative regular for help and advice and appreciate them and they can get pretty busy. May soon need a bigger shop (again).

I have been going to this bike shop for about 2 years now, and I've always been extremely satisfied with their service. Their bike selection is great for beginners and beyond, and my experience with repairs has been great. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking to purchase a new bike or work on an old bike.

I bought my first “big girl” mtn bike here and they have been my go-to bike shop ever since, even though I live a good distance away from the shop. JB is friendly, helpful, and reliable. The rest of his staff are the same. I recently got my bike packed by them to be shipped from PA to ME and it arrived in perfect condition even though the box was in bad shape. Definitely check this place out! They are awesome!

Excellent experience-purchased a high end mtb from JB sight unseen based on numerous recommendations-was a little wary based on past experience with other bike shops in phila. area-Justin definitely delivered and then some-wouldn't think of doing business with anyone else going forward-don't know about the 1 star guy but he must be mistaking this shop with someone else

Great shop with awesome brands and a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Three things I'd like to mention.
1. I needed a replacement part that wasn't in stock. Justin got it in quickly and even gave me tips to avoid potential issues installing it.
2. I asked about a few potential upgrades and he was very thorough in explaining several different options for what my budget may be and the advantages for each choice.
3. 30$ to try out a demo bike is a steal to me.
Fifth star is for the dog that naps in the shop.

Stopped in today for advice on a tire/wheel problem for a donated bike from a neighbor for my daughter.
The proprietor was busy with a customer, but took a moment to greet me and ask what I was in for.
When I showed him the issue he quickly told me how I could resolve the issue myself (took me less than a minute to resolve as he advised).

Beautiful inventory of bikes of all descriptions.
Based on my initial visit, I'll be shopping here for my next hybrid or mountain bike because I feel I can trust their opinion and advice.

This is where you want to buy your next bike! JB was extremely knowledgeable and neutral about my bike buying process. He carries most of the brands I was intrested in. Also nice to see a bike shop that has a lot of demo bikes! He takes care of his customers, and not just the ones that are spending big money for bikes. I saw plenty of minor repairs done for people just walking in, all while doing it with a good attitude.
Thanks JB you're the man!

Awesome shop. I was not going to leave a review until I saw the negative review. My wife bought a 600$ bike there and they treated us awesome. Very informative, very helpful. I would recommend this shop to every single person I know.

I don't know where the one star rating came from below. Clearly I've had the opposite experience. And I have reviewed other bike shops that don't help women (luckily it didn't happen in Reading). I didn't buy a bike here & have had nothing but good experiences here.

The first time I was in there was, what seemed to be, a bunch of neighborhood kids hanging around which was annoying only because the space is small. They were helpful to me being new to the area and recommended a few trails for me to check out. Got about $70 worth of accessories and I was on my way

What a great bike shop. Definitely leans more towards Mountain Bikes, as one might guess from the name - *but* they do have road bikes and gear as well, so don't let the name keep you away if you're a road rider. Highly recommended.

Walked in JBs today (first time ever) looking to get back into mountain biking after being away from it for a few years. Within seconds I was being helped and all my questions were being answered. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful not to mention patient as I had a ton of questions. After 15-20 minutes or so they got me set up with a bike that was perfect for my needs . For all my biking needs its JB s for life. Great shop Highly Recommended.

The best bike shop in the area. Impeccable service, repairs are done with both proficiency and timeliness. Everyone there is extremely helpful and willing to answer any questions. If they don't have what you want in stock they are more than happy to order it for you. Excellent bike selection, but also able to order in anything else easily. Owner actually rides (and races) a ton which is a big plus. Friendly, helpful, and great at what they do.

They had zero interest in repairing my old bicycle. In fact, they told me it could not be repaired (it needed a new freewheel) and to junk it. LeBo's Pedal Parlor had a suitable freewheel in stock and had me on the road again for a total of $70.

My only other visit never actually occurred as the door was locked during business hours.

I'll back up Daryll H.'s review. I just moved into the area and spent some time checking out all the different shops in the Reading vicinity. I liked this one the best. I brought my road bike here for a tune up and they did an excellent job. I definitely noticed the difference on the fist ride. And like the other reviewer, the owner also helped me out with my fit. As far as the focus of the store, it is a little more mountain bike, but still plenty of road stuff as well. I'd say it's a 60:40 mix of mountain to road (plus some hybrid bikes). Also, the prices seemed very

This is my favorite bike store in the area, and possibly anywhere. While it's called a mountain bike store, they definitely have plenty of road products as well. JB helped me with some fit issues on a bike I didn't even buy there for no charge, which is unheard of in this day and age..

The service/personal touch here is outstanding. While other stores might have a larger selection of accessories or more "traditional" bicycle brands, you can't beat this place.

Although I have a few decent bike stores in Manhattan, I'm giving JB my business instead..
