Dr Keshav Chander is board certified in Cardiology, adult echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and registered vascular technology. He is level 3 trained in echo and level 2 trained in CT angiography. His teachers and peers voted him best intern and outstanding resident during his residency in Chicago.
Do you or your doctor think you have a reason to see a cardiologist? Dr Chander is a board certified cardiologist. During consultation, we use good history taking and thorough physical examination to try to get to the reason for your problems; and hopefully find solutions.

The resting heart muscle's blood supply needs are usually well met even in the presence of blocked arteries. When the heart is stressed either by exercise or chemicals, the heart's demand for blood increases. The blood flow through the blocked arteries- while adequate at rest- may not be able to keep up with the demands of a stressed heart.
The studies have shown that reducing cholesterol helps lower chances of vascular diseases including heart attack and stroke. The studies also show that cholesterol lowering medicines can cause serious side effects. We work closely with our patients towards finding safe, effective ways (including non-drug measures like eating right and exercise) to lower cholesterol.

Doctor Chander and staff are very professional and courteous. My first day there I was treated with respect and allowed to air my concerns and not feel like I wasn't being heard. Since then I've been there four more times for follow up test/visits and my experience has been the same. Glad I chose Dr. Chander as my cardiologist.

Was sent there by my primary Care Doctor who questioned my EKG and Echo as a precaution to me having surgery. I was deeply impressed with the staff who answered questions honestly without hesitation about the procedures I had to go through for a cardiac clearance. All I can say is that you should go here if if have fears, anxieties or questions concerning your own heart or heart condition(s).

After refusing to run additional tests, Dr. Chander told me "I'm 99% sure nothing is wrong with your heart because you don't look sick."
I asked him about being tested for POTS and he said it was pointless because there was no treatment. He also falsified my records by not recording the symptoms I discussed with him. Instead he wrote that I had anxiety.
He was unhelpful and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. With the help of my PCP, I found a cardiologist who listened to me, ran tests, got me treatment, and I'm finally starting to feel better. His 99% intuition

The office staff are very friendly and polite. For me, punctuality is valued at a premium; each visit has started right on time and with very little wait for the doctor once inside the examination room.
Dr. Chander has a good bedside manner and is very informative about prognosis and next steps.

When I went into the offices of Smart Heart Care earlier this year with various symptoms, I did not yet know, what impact this visit at Dr. Chander's office had. After he and his team determined that I must have had a recent heart attack (apparently unnoticed) I was sent to the hospital immediately. After an immediately open heart surgery based on his findings and the following recovery going well, I can undeniably say that Dr. Chandler and the Smart Heart Care team saved my life. For that obviously 5 stars are not really enough.

Being 42 and healthy your whole life it was rather hard to get news that you needed to see a cardiologist. My Doctor recommended Dr. Keshav Chander at Smart Heart Care. I have been seeing him for months now and have been so pleased and happy with them. I was already not a fan of any medication but definitely needing something. Dr. Chander is the nicest and so personable. Plus he won't just thrfow a bunch of medications at you. Even tge pharmacist at CVS was pleased with his approach. Dr CHANDER and his staff Molly and Gloria are Great!!! Took my mom here for a 2 PM appointment and was seen at 2 PM ON TIME!!! The last Dr we saw we had a 2 Hour wait after her appointment!!

I love Dr. Chander so much! I was a nervous wreck when I thought I was having heart issues but he really took his time to explain everything to me and address all of my concerns. He's one of the very rare doctors that actually listens when you speak. I am highly recommend him! His partner at Smart Medical Care is fantastic too btw!

Either way I was having anxiety already due to upcoming surgery but my ekg was a little off so the primary doctor wanted to double check all was well...
The scheduling for this place was simple & easy when I called they were able to help me right on the spot. The lady I spoke with i THINK her name was Arianna (not 100 % sure) but she got all my insurance infor over the phone & got an appointment to see the doctor ASAP due to my rush for clearance.
When I got there i completely forgot my insurance card & I

My friend saw Dr Chander and all of us were very impressed by his knowledge and the the time he took to explain everything. His bedside manner is excellent. We were also pleasantly surprised to be accommodated the same day and unlike some other places didn't have to wait for hours to see the doctor. Would recommend everyone to this cardiologist.
