Services
EggCetera Cafe offers a variety of delicious breakfast and lunch fare. We work hard to ensure our ingredients are the best. We cook with trans fat free oils and offer some Gluten Free choices. Our soups are homemade daily and our coffee beans are ground fresh for each pot. While both of our locations are family friendly, our Mokena Street location is located in Historical Downtown Mokena next to the train station.
You can place your order & rest assured that your order will be given the same prompt attention than if you had placed it by phone. You can order for immediate pick-up or up to two weeks in advance. Additionally, all your order information will be saved so next time you log on, we'll greet you by name and show you your last orders so you can repeat your previous selections with only a few clicks!
My dad (a regular) brought me to both locations and I enjoyed the food. The Mokena location is small and the chairs for ME (bad back) were not too comfy BUT the service is great and the food is good. They post daily specials which are worth ordering. Good place for kids if you have any because they can watch the trains pass by.

Amazing breakfast like my mom cooked it for me. They never have any complaints about modifications. I see the owner there often. He clearly cares about his business. Much respect!

A perfect place to get well made, tasty food served quickly. The staff is friendly and efficient. The interior is bright and well spaced. Plexiglass separates each booth and tables have sufficient room between each.
I had the big breakfast was perfect. Eggs over medium and home style hash brown potatoes with homemade biscuits with real sausage gravy. Not the pasty, flavorless stuff but well seasoned with good pieces of sausage.
My wife's 2 potato pancakes were the size of half the plate. Served with sour cream and apple sauce, they were crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Just perfect

DISGUSTING. had meal delivered. I got the lox breakfast, the smoked salmon had brown spots and translucent edges. Way too salty to eat. Nasty. Waste of $15. Poached eggs were water soup. Will not try food here again.

I had the lumberjack breakfast delivered. Food was delicious. I prefer hash browns shredded with a crispy golden crust and these were sliced potatoes, but they were still very nice. I’ll definitely eat from here again.

The food was fine, however only 2 staff members were wearing masks correctly(nose covered). The cook and the host (who was seating people and rolling silverware) were not wearing them at all.

A simple breakfast place. Nothing very special. I would not recommend the coffee. It tasted like the coffee pot was burnt or something cause the coffee tasted burnt and disgusting. Not a huge fan of their hash browns either. Their French toast was good. Just simple French toast.

Saturday late morning was a good time to enjoy Eggcetera Cafe. There was enough train and Metra traffic to enthrall the youngest member of our party, but not so much to be intrusive to conversation.

The coffee was good but better with half & half. The dark roast coffee was had more flavor than the regular coffee.

I had the Large Eggcroissant, husband had Crepes Florentine, and a yogurt parfait for the Train Enthusiast.

The star of the offerings was the hollandaise sauce. Most hollandaise sauce is insipid (at best) and excruciatingly over used. Husband tends to ask for it on the side because

I go to the 191st St. location and never been to the Downtown one yet. Anyway, I can't think of any single reason to criticize them for. I get the Farmer Skillet with green peppers added, which has always come out perfect. The waitresses are all prompt and courteous. The owner is sometimes there helping out and watching how things are going. There is a front counter for walk-ins, which is a plus! Oh, and they have cinnamon butter for your toast which is something you don't usually see (you need to ask for it if they don't bring it) and is really good! Try this place out and you will

This place is awful! My husband, I, and some friends went there for breakfast the service was awful. Our waitress only came to the table twice didn't even check on us and my husband's orange juice had a lid in it. We told the waitress she took the cup and didn't even bring a brand new orange juice nor did she ask if she could get him anything else. Terrible. Will never go back

Service was poor, food was mediocre. I also did not appreciate the creepy guy sitting at the counter staring at all of the customers and waitresses. Looked like he was an owner or manager. There are so many better places in the area to go to. Do not visit this place. Dump.

The skillet was really good, but I wasn't a fan of the $1 "share" charge me and my girlfriend got for sharing a plate. I've never heard of that in my life. The only reason we decided to eat there was because we weren't that hungry but still wanted a little breakfast. I don't understand why a share charge is necessary. It's not like it took more effort to make or serve. It was still served on one plate like a normal meal. And for that reason, I'm out. I'll never be back again after just thinking to myself "I gotta come here more often" right

I swear these chefs mus'n be magicians cus they whipped up something fiercely magical that I swallowed down my gullet faster than a pig in a mud pie eating contest!! My waitress, Jeanine was as sweet as sugar cane. Helpful as all get out. She even came by a time er two just to refill my water cup. Asked me how me and the misses were and even inquired about my kinfolk. She was as refreshing to be around as the first bite of a cold peach on a July morn'n. I recon I'd be making this place a frequent stop on my travels.

Cute cafe on the tracks. Large breakfast selection and a good variety for lunch. Mom & I are just passing through and found this little place. Mom's salad was large with a large portion of chicken and strawberries. She enjoyed hers. I had the California Benny w/ ham & avocado. Eggs cooked perfect good combo. Definitely stop in if your in the area.

As I was near the area recently, I was looking for a brunch/lunch kind of place. When I saw the listing on Yelp, I decided I wanted to try and find it. It was a bit hard to find and I passed by once, but I found it and parked the car.

I walked in and was immediately greeted by the waitress who told me to sit anywhere. After parousing the menu, I decided on a build your own skillet with coffee, Shortly after, my meal was served and it was very tasty.

I loved the ambience of the place (cozy, not too big) and the location is great (near the Mokena Metra Stop).

For those looking for a neat place

There are two locations of this restaurant in Mokena. The restaurant seemed to be a favorite among locals, so I was excited to try this place out! I had the Traditional Eggs Benedict, which came with two poached eggs, Canadian bacon, English muffin, and with hollandaise sauce. My husband had the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs with a side of Biscuits & Sausage Gravy (the half order, as we had an order of 2 entrees). My dish was solid, and a very simple dish. My husband thought his dish was okay, but was not a fan of the sausage gravy as he wasn't a fan of the flavors. The service was
