When the founder of MTI, Chris Maryatt, was contacted by Engineering personel from JPL to assist in the laser weld joint configuration, tooling design and final Laser Sealing of the devices that controlled the decent of the Mars Science Lab to a safe hover and deployment onto the Martian surface, Mr. Maryatt accepted the challenge with immense appreciation of the opportunity and responsibility.
