We didn’t have a great first experience there (wrong sandwiches in bag) but mistakes happen and they made it right. Second time was outstanding! Best sandwiches around! Staff is kind & restaurant was clean!

Best place for lunch in Barre. The sandwiches are delicious and fresh. I love the cranberry bread and mayo.Staff is very friendly and accurate. This place has become my favorite .

Visiting from FL. Had the Vermonter, delicious! Has a hint of sweet and crisp from the apples, sandwich was perfectly toasted!
The ginger sweet potato soup was a great balance and the ginger was not overpowering and balanced well with the sweet potato.
Everything was fresh and locally sourced.
Their cookies are also very good!

Really tasty sandwiches! The Vermonter and The Granite City are WILD. My one complaint is that they aren't open on weekends, which is really the only time I usually have to grab a bite downtown. Grateful for the rare days when I can get free to grab a sandwich during the week, but wish I could get one on a Saturday.

They have a great sandwich for vegetarians. They also have gluten free bread. Vegetarian gf can be hard to find around here, so I was really impressed. The sandwich was really fresh

Stopped here for a quick bite after touring the granite quarry and hope cemetery and I am very glad we did. Wonderful, fresh sandwiches. I ordered the Granite City and my husband got a grilled cheese. Love checking out local places while traveling and this one is a must check out!

They catered our staff party and the steak tips were excellent as was everything else that night. The roasted veggies were out of the this world. I've never gone there to their deli but will now!

My go to sandwich shop in town. Quality food all around. Their black apron dinner kits and specials are always on point. I love seeing them around town serving up their food. Highly recommended!

Barre, you're cute and all, but I wouldn't say I go out of my way to hit up any of your restaurants. That is all about to change. HOLY COW. This joint is serving. it. up. We had a chili dog on special with housemade brisket chili generously piled atop two dogs nestled in the most perfectly buttered bun. Incredible! And that breakfast sandwich? Literally one of the best I've ever had. Go wild and get a hunk of the (also made in house) corned beef on your egg sandwich. 110% worth an hour's drive from Burlington just to have lunch at this awesome spot!

Phenomenal ingredients. Wonderful folks work here. The food is excellent! They also have a great selection of both alcohol and non alcoholic beverages. Truly one of my favorite places to eat!

This place has great food for breakfast and lunch. I usually end up spending more than I planned - but coming home with a new hot sauce or spice. They sell so many local products to hard not to! They have everything from CBD chocolate to their own maple syrup brand. They have so many unique beverages and (no exaggeration) the best breakfast sandwich in town. Highly recommend! Get the Ruben

Every time you go in there it is an adventure for your palate! Amazing, creative combinations and flavors. Local organic and FRESH ingredients...all the other local establishments should follow suit!

Wandering the new streets of Barre I stumbled upon this gem. Owner couldn't help me decide between the lamb gyro or roast beef because they were both so good. I went with the roast beef and was blown away. The sandwich couldn't be more simple or more perfect. No need to over do it when the beef tastes this good. Great tap list with some super hard to find Vermont beers like river roost and good measure just be careful with that second lunchtime beer... can make the rest of the work day tough. Great to see a cool owner operated establishment doin well I'm down town barre.

Oh my god ! First time around Barre and we were completely exhausted from MTB In Millstone Hills and we needed a sandwich... found the subway but decided to search and found this fantastic gem !!

I went inside for the first time and thought "this place is very expensive for a deli" , so I walked out.
Then weeks later I decided to see what's so great about the deli and why they charge so much. So I ordered a Cobb Salad! This "salad" was $11! However, the ingredients were very fresh, and I like that. The owner ran out of hard boiled eggs, so he was nice enough to throw in some extra bacon, which I love (oink, oink) ! And... with me checking in with the Yelp :-P AP I got a free bag of chips! WooHoo!

What is it with five star reviews today? Second one today. Maybe it is because I am on a relaxing trip to Vermont (I live in Austin Texas, but originally from the Barre area).

Everything was just right. I got a Reuben. Not a huge sandwich, and not undersized. The Corned beef was really good(not too much fat, good lean meat). The cabbage was fresh, and taste was just right. Atmosphere is nice, with polished rough wood table. Even good drinks (I got a Schweppes Black Cherry), and good chips (I got Deep River brand Aged Cheddar Horseradish chips- very good). I stopped here a couple times on my way back home to Maine or to Mass for a late lunch and I'm never disappointed. I've tried a couple different sandwiches and wraps, as well as a custom wrap. There's always a ton of meat and fresh veggies loaded on, which is why I go a little out my way instead of stopping for crappy highway food. I've found that compared to prices in Burlington is actually less expensive and everyone is always super nice and accommodating.
