The Putnam School Employees Federal Credit Union is a nonprofit, cooperative financial institution owned and run by its members. Organized to serve, democratically controlled credit unions provide their members with a safe place to save and borrow at reasonable rates. Members pool their funds to make loans to one-another. The volunteer board that runs each credit union is elected by the members.
Services
It was chartered to serve the employees of Putnam County Board of Education. At Conception it was operated out of the home of founding members Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Peak. Following there, space was donated by the Putnam County Board of Education main office. Later it moved into the Putnam Career and Technical Center where it now operates.
