I placed an order for the shop to lace two Kindernay hub carriers.
When the job was done I paid up and returning home to discover that the rear hub carrier was laced to the wheel incorrectly. It was off by a out 1/2". I studied the issue and found that the Kindernay shifter need be attached during the lacing for proper alignment. I returned the items for correction and included the shifter this time. The shop then redished the wheel. Upon returnng for my corrected wheel I was told my receipt was at the register. It then dawned upon me that these crooks are holding my wheel hostage until I pay

Went in hoping to get my son's bike fixed. His bike needed a new tire, luckily they had one. Unfortunately there were no washers put on so the chain isn't taut and wherever he rides his bike the gear slides up and the chain comes off. Single mom with little to no time to bring it back. He was so happy to be able to ride his bike, this is unfair and frustrating.

They should change their name to Break-My-Bike. I'm very disappointed in my experience with this shop. I asked them to cut my steer tube flush with my stem. They cut my steer tube about 3mm shorter than my stem. They told be they were going to call me back about my complaint and I've heard nothing back from them. They also popped my ceramic bearing out of the bottom bracket shell and neglected to put it back in. I shouldn't have to go back over and fix their mistakes after paying almost $100.

Love this place! Hubby and I got new mountain bikes on-line and loved them but since we are beginners, we had questions about assembly and proper adjustments. We took them to Ride-A-Bike and they checked them out, made some alterations, adjusted them to fit us, replaced a seat for a better one, installed shorter cranks for mine due to some knee mobility issues, and showed us how to transport them in our vehicle. They are very knowledgeable and very reasonable prices! We did purchase some accessories but they do not push product on you...they just seem to want to get everyone enjoying cycling! Will

I just got my bike back from their repair shop. I had brought it in because I had bought a bike online that was in "brand new" condition, that turned out to have a snapped axle. I thought for sure it was going to be an arm and a leg to fix. I left my bike with the guys at Ride-a-bike and they assured me it wouldn't be a problem. I just picked up my bike and it rides like a complete dream. I even bought new grips i saw which were very fairly priced and they threw them on for free! I could not believe the level of service. They told me it would be Tuesday-Wednesday before they could get to it, and

Brantley and the crew at Ride-A-Bike quickly got my mountain bike in for service and did a great job on the repairs. Their prices were very reasonable and workmanship seems excellent. Communication throughout was also excellent. I’ll definitely be back, but hopefully for routine maintenance next time and not another emergent repair.

This is a great bicycle shop nestled in the middle of Main Street in Gastonia. No thrill appearance on inside or out but ( and this is big) service quick and totally unexpected on my part as I was mentally ready to drop off my tire for repairs and pick up in a week or so. The gentleman had the tire repaired in 10 minutes as promised while I waited. The shop is full of various bicycles, accessories for the amateur like me and more experienced "biker" which I can only dream of. Drop by and you will not be disappointed!

I have been in to this shop twice in 3 weeks. I live in Cramerton and chose this shop based off of reviews. I went to have my sons mtb checked out. The owner/older man who works in the front does NOT even acknowledge you as a customer. They have a couple volunteer/part time bike techs that work in the back and they always seems to be friendly and very helpful. The guy above is the opposite. The first time I was in as the tech was working on my bike the owner/older man was no where to be found. A line of about 7 people formed at the front cash register. The tech said out loud where in the world

Checked out this bike shop on a recommendation from a coworker. I was looking to purchase my first mountain bike and so glad I went here.

I walked in and spent almost an hour talking with the owner, never once did I feel like he was selling me a bike.... instead, it felt like he was educating me on the hobby. I didn't hesitate to buy a bike that day. Looking forward to breaking in my new bike and taking it back in for the first tube up!
