Traditional Counseling is a form of talk therapy, but often includes a broad spectrum of techniques and modalities. Unlike other counseling centers, Paws for Reflection Ranch offers alternative settings for traditional counseling. Many clients who opt for the traditional counseling route at the Ranch choose to have their session outside watching the horses graze, sitting under our covered porch, or strolling along the Nature Trail.
For riders (minimum age 4) sessions include both ground and riding interaction with a horse. Lessons are led by PATH(Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors. Ground time includes grooming, leading, and getting to know the horse. During riding, the client participates in a wide variety of activities and maneuvers based on their personal riding ability.

We had an absolutely great experience at Paws for Reflection Ranch. The staff is very friendly, well-spoken, and professional with parents and children. There was never a moment I felt uncomfortable with the therapy animals. It is apparent that they are highly experienced and up to date in their training. I am so thankful to Melode and her staff for what they have done for my family and how they are serving their community.

I have been to the ranch many times. The owners are wonderful people making a positive difference. I have seen firsthand the various programs and the great results they achieve. It is absolutely amazing seeing how the animals reach out and comfort people. Outside of providing lifesaving therapy for those in need, the ranch is a great place to host corporate events. I have participated in several team building events at the ranch with my company and it has always been a great success. I congratulate them on their efforts working with veterans thru the Wounded Warrior Project.
Thank you for all

Paws For Reflection, Melode and Stan and their staff do AMAZING work with therapies combined with animals. They have a therapeutic riding program (and SOON a new covered arena!), counselors who work with clients and combine "touch therapy" with dogs, cats, bunnies, pot-bellied pigs and the list goes on!! They work with the Wounded Warriors and their families to help with managing their sometimes challenging situations as they return to life after the military. Check them out--anyone with any special needs may benefit from visiting the Ranch..
