Smith DDS is a modern, state-of-the-art practice offering Orinda area patients a full-range of general and cosmetic dental services, from routine check-ups, Nitrous Oxide, to complete smile makeovers.
Dr. Mary Smith grew up in the small town of Robbins located just north of Davis, California. She is a graduate of U. C. Davis with a B. S. degree in Physiology. Dr. Smith received her D.D.S. in 1995 from University of the Pacific. While attending UOP she was elected into Tau Kappa Omega, the dental Honors society.
There's nothing to fear with a dental exam. Your teeth will be visually examined for signs of plaque, tartar and tooth decay. Your gums will also be examined for puffiness or discoloration, which are signs of gum disease. A full set of dental X-rays may also be taken during your dental exam, to enable your dentist to see below the surfaces of your teeth.

In the past, the idea of correcting the structure and placement of teeth meant uncomfortable metal brackets and wires. It didn't help that because of the placement of those brackets and wires, many people had a lot of difficulty keeping their teeth and gum clean and healthy during treatment. Modern dentistry definitely came a long way when Invisalign orthodontics became available.

I actually love going to Dr Smith's office. Dr Smith is first and foremost concerned with your comfort and because of this it is a very pleasant experience. This is pain free dentistry at its best with state of the art equipment. The entire office staff is very professional and helpful. My husband and I drive down from Oregon for our appointments because we are getting such good care.

Before returning to college in March 2015, I visited Dr. Mary Smith's Office for a second opinion on several of my cavities. Even before fully consulting my parents, Dr. Smith strongly suggested immediate treatment for several of my "most urgent" cavities. I didn't question her evaluation because she's the professional. HOWEVER, when Dr. Smith used the composite for my fillings, she left excess composite between my teeth. I now have an incredibly tough time flossing between certain teeth. Be careful! You only have one set of teeth, and poor quality dental care can ruin

Excellent service. Everyone in Dr. Smith's office was professional and efficient, and very caring. I came in with a tooth ache, they were able to see me right away with no appointment even though I was a new patient. Dr. Smith called me the next day to see how I was doing. I will be going to Dr Smith for all my dental needs.

I am so glad to have found Dr. Smith. She is warm, friendly and very considerate of her patients. It's not uncommon for her to personally follow up with patients, and she truly cares about things like pain level, comfort, etc. Her staff takes the time to get to know each patient, and after your first visit they will know your name when you call. Also, I had to bring my child with me at one point, and she and her entire staff were very accommodating and kind.
When I moved from the area, she went out of her way to tell me that I needed no dental work, which was very helpful information

Incredible service. They are extremely caring and helpful. If you dont like having your teeth cleaned she makes sure you feel comfortable and walks you through the process. They handle pretty much all dental work. They also use the white composite for fillings so your mouth isnt full of metal.
