With nothing more than a sheer love for bikes and a shoe-string budget, Gordy opened the doors of Freewheeler Bike Shop in 1978. In the early years Gordy was a BMX fanatic and if he wasn't working he could most likely be found at the track. As the years went on he expanded with more bike options and lines almost every year.
Now days you can find everything from high end carbon racing bikes to three wheeled adult trikes and everything in between. Freewheeler has always been known for it's huge inventory and multiple bike lines. Fast forward to 2005 Gordy's kid Curt starts grinding away on the day to day operations. A couple years later young Freewheeler radicals Pat and Sam finish college up and decide to come back to work at the shop.
