I went in on a whim that I would be able to find a random steering part as i struck out at many other shops in town and even online. I left after talking with Nathan for about a half hour and not only left with a part to get me in the right direction but a better knowledge of what I was trying to tackle. Incredibly impressed with their little shop. Everyone there was friendly and incredibly helpful.

Came in looking for a electric bike I guess sense I was a young black men they automatically racial profiled me saying that it might be out my price range if I wanted a cheap bike would've went to Walmart they probably wouldn't have judge me but I went in thinking to spend at least 5k or more but not there I want

Alger Bikes goes the distance- and then some. There are many west MI shops, but Alger delivers a better experience. I’ve always been treated fairly. They are not pushy. They are friendly and care to understand you AND your cycling needs. Big plus, their mechanics and bike knowledge are tops in the area. Stop by and check them out.

Awesome service and friendly staff at the bike shop. Due to supply chain issues they did not have a part, but gave us a suggestion for a temporary workaround. Great group of people who care about the sport and our toys. We'll be back next time we need to get stuff for the bike. Also have a great service department offering tuneup and inspection services to keep you safe and rolling upright.

This bike shop has the best customer service I have ever experienced and an amazing selection of high end bikes. They take their time to help ensure you walk away with the right size bike and are a happy customer. It was red carpet service from beginning to end. I took my 47 year old Schwinn in for service. The technician called twice to let me know the estimate for the work and then again when that work wasn't possible and to approve an alternative. The bike had a little issue when I got it back and they corrected it while I browsed the shop. The gentleman (Chris) came out and showed me what had happened and chatted for a few. I've been enjoying riding more and more and will be back soon to buy a new bike. I've been quite happy with this shop, even though I live closer to other shops and have used them too. I feel a lot better about making a large new

A+ in every regard. We drove from 2 hours away to buy a Cannondale Topstone 1 that only Alger had in the right size. Even though we are a long-distance customer without other options in the midst of the current bike shortage, we were treated like we'd been buying bikes from them for years. We worked with Mike, who did a very good bike fit to confirm the size and determine if any changes (stem, seat setback, ...) were needed. Mike also walked us through every single detail of the bike, maintenance recommendations, pre-ride checklists, the works. Frankly, I was blown away at how competent and friendly

Had a great experience here! They have a wide selection to fit every budget and all needs. They also have bike repair and services with experienced technicians. I spent a long time here, tried lots of bikes, got good advice, and even went to other shops, but made up my mind and came back here. Happy with my purchase, their accessories are a good price too, and my accessories were installed for free.

I ordered a key part for a bike I'm building from them using eBay's function to find a nearby seller, assuming they could expeditiously get a part from Grand Rapids to Chicago.
After 3-4 days of complete inaction on their part (took my payment but never shipped the item) I messaged them to see what was going on and whether we could get things moving, and their only response was "do you want to cancel?"
By then they had delayed too much for

Brian, I beg to differ...what you did was had my bike for three weeks, with minimal communication. I had to call your staff and meet with you face to face to institute updates. Then you informed me that the bike was "like new". Yet, it was almost worse than when I brought it into you. The brakes were poorly assembled, the fluid had completely leaked, and the drive train was in worse condition after your firm serviced it. Now, you tell me what should you do?

Excellent service. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is lack of apparel. They carry Cannondale and Scott. Two of my favorite bike brands. While there today, I overheard a few customer conversations with employees. All were on track and not upsell. As a former bike mechanic and long time racer, I appreciate the truthfulness I don't usually hear at bike stores. Really the store deserves 4.5 stars, but not 5.

Just bought a bike with an attachment for my daughter (not a cheap buy) but the owner and all the staff were so awesome and helpful! I feel very prepared and informed with my new bike.
