Newsflash, Fort Davis is a small town. If a local walks into the store we know them. So the idea of serving anything other than high quality, fresh made food to people that we see day in and day out just doesn't make sense. So when we started building out our menu and recipes we focused on making as much of it from scratch and in house as we could.
So from our handmade onion rings to Mom's Meatloaf that we make every Tuesday to our now famous chicken fried steak that we batter and fry when you order it, we focus on using the best ingredients we can afford while keeping prices reasonable and putting them together in family-friendly and tasty ways for a menu that works for locals and visitors alike.

A small restaurant and hotel. My wife and I only ate a late lunch/early dinner. The food was good with good portions. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. And the green beans were fresh and well cooked. If you're in Fort Davis and you're hungry, this is a good place to stop.

I've been coming here since I was a kid, and every time I have very fond memories of the place and the food. I came back for the first time in 4 years when I was passing through town. It was actually better than I remember, and I remember the food being really good! Great burgers, chips, and a nice selection of Texas made sodas and teas. Staff is very friendly and caring, and the restaurant is clean and well kept. My milkshake however, was not how I remember it. Ice cream tasted chalky and old, like it had been in the freezer for a couple of weeks and didn't taste fresh at all. My fried okra was

Wow. Never thought I’d be writing a review about a drug store in a small town but this place was a step above. Excellent fresh sandwiches and a selection of products you’d expect in a large city. Reasonable prices given the remoteness. The staff and locals were extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you make it to Fort Davis!

Went for breakfast and it was awful! The food tasted like overcooked dried dog food. I ordered the cowboy breakfast with hash browns, biscuit and sausage. The hash browns were not shredded like in the menu display pic and were hard nuggets with no flavor. The sausage was burned and the biscuits were crunchy and tasted like they came from a box of bisquick. I would never eat there again. My boyfriend and daughter ordered similar and it was still over cooked. I hope their lunch is maybe better than their breakfast. We did order right before 11am so maybe our food had been sitting under the food warmers

Great little restaurant in a soda shop. Burgers were huge and tasty. Onion rings are great and are worth the upgrade. Ice cream is quite good as well. The only complaint was the waffle cone could have used a malted milk ball or chocolate dip on the bottom so as not to leak so bad. But that's a nitpick overall great place!
